Well that didn't take long... Friday morning's post-payrolls record all-time high in the S&P 500 (because, as Steve Liesman said, "he can't find any reason to be bearish about jobs data") has rapidly collapsed to being negative year-to-date (and worst start to a year since 2009's crash).

On Friday momentum stocks sold off with some verve again after the release of the payrolls data. Since the latter were actually quite close to the expected number, they cannot really have been the trigger of the sell-off (in other words, it would probably have happened regardless of the data).

Large losses on weak jobs data offered bears an opportunity to go on the offensive. The S&P was least affected by Friday's sell off, but still enough to finish the day with a 'bull trap'. There was also a 'sell' trigger in On-Balance-Volume.
