Canadian LP Pot Stock Sub-Index Decline Continues

A non-diversified portfolio is bound to have more variability as interest in that specific segment varies from day to day. Possibly that can be attributed to the very short attention spans of those most involved. (At least that is a reasonable guess.)

Buy These 3 Stocks Before President Biden’s Infrastructure Plan Gets Signed Into Law

Less than half of that 2 trillion dollars is designated for actual infrastructure such as roads, bridges, and utilities. The larger portion is pork for businesses and assorted favored development programs. So president Biden has started his term with a HUGE LIE!! More than half the money will not be spent on upgrading our infrastructure, but rather on a huge collection of stuff that is not infrastructure.

Unfortunately I am rather intolerant about being lied to, and thus I am offended by the package.

There is a line of thinking that asks if global warming causes an increase in carbon dioxide. In addition there is also a rather fundamental acknowledgement that correlation does not prove causation.

The part that originally caused my doubts is that the group that started making all of the noise seemed to contain a lot of the same folks who for quite a while had been complaining about how unfair it was that just a few countries were consuming such a large portion of the world's resources and having so much nicer and healthier life style. The problem with that is that most of the undeveloped countries have been around much longer than the more advanced countries. So if those areas had a 500 year head start in the race, how can it be our fault that they do not surpass us late starters??

Stocks Gap Higher On April 8 And Go Nowhere The Rest Of The Day

The whole concept of "levels of resistance" seems to be based on the presumption that "groupthink" is somehow organized, instead of being a herd panic mode, driven by greed. In reality, rational thought overcomes emotional greed reflexes, and there is a realization that some moves are just lain dumb.

Rising Debt Means A Weaker Dollar

My concern about inflation is not new at all, but possibly now others are beginning to understand.

Of course the Federal Reserve group seems to be focused only on assisting the wall street crowd at the expense of all who are not able to magicaly adjust their incomes to keep a constant buying power.

And now it seems that the national debt has become large enough that it can no longer be ignored, maybe even by those who for 50 years have been telling us that it is fine and wil not be a problem. But now it appears to be so big that others notice it and tend towards avoiding dealing in US dollars.

It might be that the government is reaching "the end of the rope"and at that point comes the very painful realization that "when it's gone, it's GONE, and there ain't no more." That might be the last page in the book: No happy ending when Superman arrives and saves the day.

One question now is "what about the solar heat output? How does it compare with 50 and 100 years ago? And how accurate were the measurements 100 years ago?

AND, is it possible that global warming causes increased carbon dioxide levels?

How (And Why) Investors Should Play GameStop

Certainly the new management has a chance to do big things, AND if they get it all right the first time then it may indeed be a success. So here is to hoping that it works.

And for all those who hope to get rich quick as the stock value rose, keep in mind that there needs to be willing and able buyers in order to profit from selling.

Market Direction: Robust Continuation Or Blow-Up?

Share pricing depends partly on the emotions of some folks and thus does not depend solely on equations and logic. That is the reality. Some folks are much better at guessing based on subtle clues, and some organizations certainly appear to act on information not available to most others. The result being that the game is interesting to watch, and some are skilled enough to play and win more than lose.

And the success or lack of it by some of the drug companies depends on enough unknown variables to make a correct call impressive.

Why Goldman Unsurprisingly Avoided Archegos Losses

@F.B. Certainly you are correct, unfortunately taking away every cent of the profit would be regarded as "cruel and unusual punishment" and so the bad actors do get away with their evil ways. Of course, if I were elected King things would be different. That is not likely to happen here in the USA. Plus, I do not even want to be king.
