With the threat of inflation foremost in some folks minds it is not likely that a drop in gold prices will last long enough to be a concern item.

New CEO, New Plans, New Profits: Don’t Miss This Semiconductor Turnaround Story

One benefit of NOT producing ICs in China is the reduced probability of tampering with the designs and planting assorted malware in the structure. THAT has been a problem with some products coming from China in the recent past. Not publicized but real. And noticed by the defense department as well.

But the role of the CEO is not engineering, it is directing and often Intel has gone in the right direction. So it will probably continue to do that.

Visualizing Biden’s Budget Proposal For 2022

An interesting presentation of the budget proposal, and a bit of discussion as well. Unfortunately there is no mention of the proposed source of all this additional money. Although it looks like the plan is just to print it as it is needed. I see a problem with that. Am I alone in this perception???

Really, all the governments will need to do is declare that (whatever) cryptocurrency is not accepted as payments for any money owed to them. And considering the variability of bitcoins claimed values, how could anyone accept it as payment for what is owed? It is far to much like an elastic measuring tape, really. A bit like intergalactic credits: On one planet 100 credits will buy you a new rocket ship, while on another planet that hundred credits will buy you a large cup of coffee.

Who Buys The All-Time High?

This would have been a great text article instead of a long video presentation. Who indeed buys at the "all time high" price, since by definition the price will only drop after that. Of course, that is only until "next time" when the price peaks. And my thinking is the all time high seldom represents the actual value, usually quite a bit less, and always a challenge to actually define. OR does there actually exist a way to verify the actual value of a share of stock? If there exists an actual definition that would be interesting to see.

Interesting, But what material wealth is Bitcoin based on?? What actual physical wealth is it based on? When "bitcoin miners" were using hijacked networked computers to mine Bitcoin, what things of value were they gathering? If a currency does not have a physical basis, even a theoretically physical basis in some kind of wealth, then it's value is more like a gang, with the value consisting of the agreement among members. I think that I see problems with that.

Can one actually enjoy life and be happy when focused soly on the accumulation of wealth? I have wondered about that. I am not so focused, which is probably why I do not have millions to invest. Oh Well.
