My observation has been that the price of gold is quite proportional to the LACK OF CONFIDENCE in the economy and it's apparent direction. Of course there are probably other factors affecting the price as well, but what those are is not as obvious to me.
This article is very interesting and educaional. And certainly the quantity of "sushine" is tremendous, by any standard. I am especially impressed by that very well worded disclosure in the section "Forward-Looking Statements." That is quite a gem.

It seems obvious to me that "The Fed" has primarily supporting the short term benefits for the financial sector as a primary goal. Hurting the remaining portion of the population does not seem to be a consideration. But this is not new, ie it?
It looksto me to be the start of a setup for a very ptofitable "Pump and Dump" move. I recall that happening with Bitcoin a while back. Of course, the apologists will not acknowledge that it was a P&D, but it looked likeone to me.
Is it possible that at some times and on some occasions the price of shares actually becomes linked to their VALUE?? I realize that share value is rather difficult to knowbecause it is based on actual earnings pluse the actual value of the assets, which is seldom known exactly, although some organizations claim knowing their exact worth to within a few cents. Clearly their accountng groups have way too much time on their hands.
Five stars for being so incredibly thorough, but the amount of jargon was a bit daunting. But interesting and educational. AND, 4% from a poorly performing fund is better than I get on money deposited at my bank.
