The market has rendered AMC Entertainment (AMC) a worthless company. The stock has nosedived from a 52-week high of $17 to $6.50 which is a 62% reduction in market capitalization. AMC was $33 per share in 2017 which is a multi year meltdown of 80%.

I disagree. There are of course there are many new ways to consume media and some movies have eveb experimented with a simultaneous release to theaters and homes, but I don't think movie theaters will go anywhere any time soon. There's still something to be said about getting out of your house, experience a movie with a crowd and of course, theaters will always out impress any home setup. $AMC

#AMC and the movie theater business in general is going through a structural decline as people opt to watch movies differently preferring to stay home rather then go out. Movie theater business will probably become a small niche business where there will be a few very high end theaters, similar to traditional live plays like broadway. $AMC
