High Churn Rate Of Amazon Workers Alarms Execs Worried About Labor Shortage

Interesting indeed. Subway is another company that seems to need to watch workers very closely.Quite an interesting thing.

So is it working conditions or is it hiring practices?

Jamie Dimon (Still) Hates Bonds Because Inflation; Other Banks Apparently Love Bonds Because There’s No Credit To Inflation

OK, now. I see that it is not inflation that is raising the prices of everything that I buy, it is something else doing it, but certainly it is not inflation.

RIGHT!!!

How Energy Transition Models Go Wrong

Actually, farming is one of the things that could do well with intermittent electricity. Plants can do quite well when there are periods of darkness, and proper system design will let the plants do well with only watering once a day. Harvesting plants under artificial conditions can be set to only need a few hours per day. Of course, that is indoor farming NOT in California, which is beyond my comments. The big problem with all nature sources of power is that there is not enough of it. And recovering the energy takes systems that cost more than present generation methods.

It is an Interesting analysis. And certainly fear is helping drive it. Of course with a collection of drunken clowns heading towards the cockpit of the airliner there does appear to be a valid reason for that fear. It appears that the leaders have no clue about what to do, or any understanding about actions and results of actions.

2 Great Semiconductor Stocks Under $15 To Buy Right Now
3 years ago

There is a big problem in the semiconductor industry that was not mentioned or even hinted at. This is the perpetual push to reduce the size of all those elements inside those microcomputer chip devices. Each new iteration in size reduction renders the current production equipment and processes obsolete. And all of the new production equipment is very expensive. This leads manufacturers to not purchase excess production capacity, because it might even become obsolete before it is ever used. Thus the industry itself is responsible for the shortage of production capacity.

There was nothing wrong with the previous sized technology, it just used a bit more power and ran slightly slower. How fast does the power seat computer need to think? Or even the climate control system. The electronics of 20 years ago were fast enough, in fact. So really it is the mindless chase for faster and smaller that caused the problem. Is there a solution? NO! With the present priorities there is no solution and no work-around.

How Energy Transition Models Go Wrong

First, let me point out the unfortunate reality: "You Can't Fix Stupid." This means that poor choices made by many in government will continue and there is no means to prevent said poor choices.

Next, given that plants, particularly trees, take in vast quantities of carbon dioxide and deliver vast quantities of oxygen. So perhaps the deliberate deforestation is the bigger culprit in the carbon dioxide level increase. Of course, planting trees and saving forests does not make anybody rich or give anybody control over others, so neither approach is considered.

The oil companies are doing well enough, no matter how loudly they scream otherwise. The skill at hiding the truth is amazing, and appalling as well.

The large problem with electric vehicles of every kind is the recharging. That requires energy being delivered at much higher rates than it is consumed, and that requires a lot of expensive distribution network systems. And the big flaw in electric everything is that storing electricity is not simple, easy, efficient, nor is it cheap.

Gold Price To Recover If Fed Rate Hike Risk & USD Strength Ebb

Could it also be that the sudden drop is caused by profit taking? Holding shares is not the way to turn a quick profit, at least as I see it. And wise investors understand that in order to sell, buyers are required. So it could also be that profit taking is the driver.

5 Picks As Inflation Is Transitory And Tapering Is Not In View

The times when there are NO WINNERS AT ALL are very few indeed. So the state of all the others is not mentioned in the box of sunshine.

Of course many CEOs are predicting great thins in the future, that is what they are paid so well to do, we all know that.

So certainly some investments will provide impressive growth and some will grow a bit. And some will not do so very well.

Gold Update: 25 Analysts Currently Forecasting $3,000 Gold; 5 Predicting $10,000 - $25,000 Gold By End Of Decade

The pricing for gold is known to track a lack of confidence in the rest of the economy, and it also appears to track inflation fairly constantly. So of course gold prices will be rising as the purchasing ability of dollars declines. What else could it do??

I won't compare things to a car full of drunken squirrels driving, BUT..

With all of those trillions of freshly printed dollars suddenly appearing it should be quite clear that the next round of inflation will damage the bottom 90% of us in the USA. And I predict that some portion of those folks will figure out who did it and possibly demand some changes. Through legal and peaceful means, I hope.

Probably "the market" is almost as confused about what the Fed will do next as "the fed" itself is confused.
