What we see is the FED in a scramble to protect it's friends, and not sure just what to do. And of course greed is running rampant as well.
The reality is that business decisions based on emotions are seldom the wise choices. That needs to be understood by all, it is important. And note that I am including greed, fear, and following the herd as emotions.
Watching the giants dance can be quite entertaining but it provides no information about the rest of the world. Giants ARE DIFFERENT! We need to understand that. Aside from having far more resources than the rest, even the laws treat giants differently. NO, that is not fair, not at all. But "Mother Nature" is very seldom close to fair, usually much closer to brutal and merciless. This includes giants.
The presumption of a rapid robust recovery is certainly what many are hoping for. The unfortunate bad news is that wishing and hoping do not make things happen. Even a lot of serious effort and real hard work do not assure that huge time of sunshine in the near future.
What may happen is that if any nation does recover much more rapidly there may be a big change in who is the world power. If it is China or India it will be "interesting" indeed.
The unhappy fact is that most of the time, including the recent adventure described, chemically induced euphoria are rather short lived, both in the financial sector and in real life. Investors need to understand that uncomfortable reality.
Certainly there is a need to help some people and some industries, BUT the random dispensing of large amounts of resources, without any discernment of actual need, will cause exactly the conditions and problems described. While some recipients were in desperate need of the past handout, others, such as myself, also got the gift despite having no need and not asking for it. A further example is the GameStop run-up, with so many using their "free money" to invest.
I understand that it would be a challenge to only give to those in need, but certainly there should be some evaluation prior to the broad distribution. Otherwise there is a whiole lot of debt creation without doing as much good as could be done.
I read about the robotics companies in the technical publications, where we we hear far more the details of the new releases and developments, What is very interesting is the fundamentally new applications that some of the new features allow. What all of this means is that some robot makers have created products that suddenly create a new market for their products. So there can be a large jump in company profits before the word even gets out. I believe that is what is the case with Irobot. It will certainly be interesting to watch.
A text presentation of this evaluation would have been so very much better. Text is much simpler to take in and gain insights from. Videos are for entertainment.

Interesting news here. And if the project is successful we can wave farewell to privacy as we currently know it.
Certainly there can be much profit made from all of that "bottom up" analysis, but not much benefit to those analyzed.

Interesting! But I choose to abstain from the rush.
And I certainly hope that the others are following that very old and very good advice, of "Do not gamble (invest) more than you can afford to lose."
I think that I see a bubble hiding here.
