Isn't the issue of Tesla's potential also to do with developing batteries as power sources, not just for cars? You seem to be stuck on the car issue... or am I missing something?

I don't pretend to be a China expert, but I think I remember that there's a problem in China with any outside investor holding a significant amount of a company. Are American PE holding too little of these companies to be able to force their hands?

I keep hearing that Germany is much more conservative than most of Europe, it sounds like they are actually a bit backward. Is that your opinion too, Fred?

Aaliya, I think you need to find news sources that are not propaganda or Russia-controlled. In particular, there is absolutely no creditable source for such an Albright quote. Would you care to document it?

I think you're trying too hard to make your point. I agree with the others who have pointed out the 'apples to oranges.' Yes, sit-down restaurants have suffered and 'upscale fast food' places have benefited. But Chipotle does offer sit-down. I think you have vastly oversimplified this equation.
