It looks to me like Yahoo Finance needs to take the blame for some of the problem. The first article about the acquisition I found was by Benzinga on Wednesday night, but Benzinga had the information right. When YF picked up the Benzinga story Thursday morning, they inserted the RIVT ticker.
Where do the short sellers stand right now? Are warrants still available? I guess my question is, if this is a longer-term view, what is the immediate-term view in your opinion?
Regarding AXPW, I'm sure that's one of those stocks where the reason for the chatter is people trying to manipulate it. Anything this tiny has little legitimacy. The fact that a search on the company goes first to products on Amazon is a clue too :-)
I think it depends on which analyst - this is Zacks and Zacks expected more. 'Beat' has to do with analyst estimates, not necessarily some hard and fast number. Several analysts had downgraded SWKS, and their estimates, mid-April, so those lower numbers are what got 'beat' I think. I get frustrated by the references to 'beating consensus' too.
Hi Leigh, I'm hoping you'll do a followup once earnings are announced, and maybe you could address then how the mix of income sources is working. My concern regarding their recruiting platform is the downward trend of other recruiting platforms such as Monster.
Your point about HKex is interesting. But I find the analysis of the yuan role is pretty shallow. I read articles here on the topic by Harry Dent and Tyler Durden among others much earlier this week that gave me better information and I suggest that other readers do the same.
Gyrocopter Guy has put campaign finance back in the news too! It's too bad that because of his stunt his message about fixing the campaign finance laws is taking a back seat to homeland security issues.
OK, I'll give you air conditioning (1902) and the airplane (1903) but the automobile really dates back into the late 1800s. I'd nominate the advances in cancer treatment and artificial limbs as a sign of good things to come for this century. Other thoughts?
