I truly believe that as vocal as the GOP is with their Trumpism, the silent majority will either not vote for the more extreme Republican candidates, or won't vote at all. I think the GOP will have a very poor showing this time around.
Yes, with Delta surging, and new variants continuing to pop up, it's no wonder fewer people are going back to work than expected. Especially since the restaurant and travel industries were fueling the recent hiring spree. But now, with Covid infections growing rapidly, those will be the first industries to suffer.
I'm actually very surpised all the emergency stimulus packages have ended. Without unemployment being extended, I expect some very hard times will soon follow.
I don't see why people are blaming Biden for this. Trump also planned to pull all US troops. And there was not a country in the world that offered to help Afghanistan as it was being overrun. For 20 years we propped up their country. And while it's devastating to see it fall to the Taliban, Biden is right when he says that if Afghans aren't willing to fight and die for their country, why should Americans?
Agreed. I thought it was Biden's most forceful speech todate. Unfortunately, it wasn't even broadcast by Fox News. They instead showed a discussion on Bill Gates' divorce. Clearly that's more important than the president addressing our nation. Newsmax and OANN completely ignored it as well, which is a shame since Trump's base are the ones that needed to hear it the most.

My Saddest Post
Yes, this is very sad. But Trump was planning to pull the troops out anyway. So would it really have been any different?
