Insanity can be the only explanation.  I wonder if Putin has ever heard Kennedy's speech--maybe that would help bring him back to his senses.  We cannot give up trying to get Mother Russia to understand.  But i have done all that i can.  In the mean time i will try to market my new book called Globanomics.

Richard Haas regularly gives his smirky view of foreign affairs on Morning Joe.  I just get upset when the supposedly "people in the know" don't seen to know.  That's what this about.  I listened to Richard Haas this morning on Morning Joe--he sees Putin's War dragging out.  

I see Putin's War ending this month.  That's the difference between me and Haas.

I have wondered whether you were still out there.  Glad to see you were.  I just hope you are getting onboard with a bit more optimism.

Ukraine (the West) will kick Putin's ass out of Ukraine--that is a given.  If the Russian people give Putin the boot that would be fine--as long as they replace him with a pro-Western type of person.   Until then, however, we have to deal with Putin (dying or not), and the best bet there is to convince him how much better everyone will be off if he joins the West.  We don't need to be enemies, and Putin can claim to be the President of Russia who finally gained the West's respect (wink, wink).
