Once again I would quote that standard caution that "past performance does not assure future results." The fact is probably that the situation affecting the stock markets also affected who won the election. Confusing cause and effect is a common error that folks fall into.
A very interesting business. The one thing never mentioned was the actual cost, because none of that convenience is cheap. It might work for some people but never for me. Consider that one would never find their sunglasses waiting, nor their umbrella at hand when it started raining.
So this company has an expensive but convenient product for sale to a number of folks who are not even a bit like me. Will they make it? No clue. But they have a bunch of investers. Interesting, that.
Interesting but rather depressing as well. One thing about those "high paying jobs" is that it is the fed constantly pushing inflation for the benefit of the stock markets that has helped push them up so high. Some few jobs do require skill and insight but many high paying jobs can be learned quite well in less than an hour. That includes most assembly line work.
The fact is that most folks are patient enough that their level of misery can grow quite large before the revolution, but once some level has been exceeded the response would not be very nice at all, and the actions will not be well thought out at all. At that point the fight will continue until the bullets run out and all the knives are too dull. And most of that 1% that is not dead may find that the dead are the lucky ones.
The one hope is that prior to reaching that level, wisdom will arise and things will somehow improve.
Interesting article indeed. Mister Musk is a master orator, but that alone is not enough to make that incredible battery production yield "good enough" to meet the extravagant projections. That time is coming but it is not here yet. Reading in the much more technical areas, i see that there are still a few breakthroughs needed to perfect the "Secret Sauce" needed for the incredible production volume at the very low costs. And the appearance of unforeseen challenges is a bit typical in such huge undertakings.
But what is happening is only a delay, not yet a show stopper.
Given that seemingly ALL of the stocks dropped creates a question of why? And What do they al have in common? If it is the same group of investors owning most of the shares, that could be very interesting.
My guess, however, is that the number of folks who are presently interested in owning cannabis business stocks is a bit limited, and quite a bit less than a huge multitude. And like a lot of things, once the need is satisfied the demand drops. With the reduced demand the bid-up prices are re-adjusting to a prior and more sensible level.
Thus now is the time to hold the stocks patiently and wait for those dividend payments to arrive. It is not a disaster, it is an adjustment.
I should remind folks that on the average only half of all changes are improvements, which means that the other half of all changes make something worse. Thus I suggest thinking very carefully before jumping on the change truck. Secondary results of actions are not always clear, and tertiary results even less obvious.
Getting rid of a loudmouth may be a relief, but if the replacement is one who never considers the price of things the problem may be far worse, unless the goal is to be broke.
Thus careful, considered, and informed thought is in order.
