The intent of inflation is to reduce the purchasing power of our money so that we will borrow from the banks. That benefits the bankers. inflation also increases the price of shares, because each dollar has less value. That bennefits the traders. I am not cler on the mechanism of the other benefits to the stock market, others have claimed that inflation does benefit the market somehow.
My suggestion was very specific in at least halting all of the actions that are intended to cause inflation. If it could be halted that would be good, at least for a wh[le
The problem in the semiconductor industry is that each new reduction in freature size renders the production equipment for the previous size obsolete. So new everything is required and that equipment is obscenely expensive, plus the initial production yields are not profitable. So each one of those advances in technology demands a restart in the production side. And the producers were not going to spring for huge production capabilities when the future market did not look so big. Thus there was inadequate capacity when the demand exploded.
IF those designing the systems that use these chips had been smart, they would not have selected the bleeding edge technology, but instead used the totally adequate lines of the many devices that were currently available in huge quantities. POOR PLANNING, in short, because of wanting to embrace the bleeding edge.
The problem in China is not a realestate problem, it is a debt problem. In more common terms, a leveraged debt problem. Far too much debt unless everything was going perfectly. And what sort of fool believes that things will go perfectly forever, or even for "quite a while"?
And why would anyone believe that the fed will do the move that is best for the country, when it's policy has been to do what is best, short term, for the banks and stock market?
And will inflation be short term, just making a few big jups, or will it be ongoing, steadily creeping to the same high level but at a constant rate of creep? The damage will be the same, as will the hurts. The panic may be different, but that is all.
The pity is that there can be useful information that is hard to pick up because of the pace. Text is so much better for catching every little bit, reading it more than once some times. And the stuff in a 20 minute video would take only 5 minutes to read as text.
I wonder if the folks who like the videos really stay focused for the whole time.
