The boiling frogs makes a lot of sense. There seems to be almost no fear right now, and I don't see that many bears around,--even on (and especially on!) days when North Korea launches missiles.

I agree with you, Carl. Bubble or not, I certainly wish I had bought back then.

Now that Bitcoin is near $10,000, I hardly ever hear anyone mention gold/silver and the mining stocks anymore. I think people sold their gold in order to fund their brand new Coinbase accounts.

I've never bought Bitcoin, although I may buy if and when it crashes and people start hating it. Maybe if there is another 2013 on its way.

It would certainly be nice to get a buyable pullback/correction, but it never seems to come. I have mostly been on the sidelines recently, watching the market grind higher without me.

I have never had the stomach for trading UVXY--neither to the short nor long side. It seems like eventually leveraged volatility instruments will exact punishment on both sides of the trade. First the longs, then the shorts who think shorting vol is *still* the path to endless gains.

I used to be practically a gold permabull, but this year I finally started taking a more flexible and openminded attitude towards the PM's. And the last few months my best trades have been shorting the rips in GDX with puts. Gold looks awful right now, and the miners look even worse. I'm still flexible, but I can't see any reason to get excited about gold and silver at the moment.
