I remember about a year ago when the pundits/foreign policy analysts were saying North Korea was about five years away from being anywhere close to having ICBM's that could hit the US. I thought that was a terrifying thought. And now we find out they are way ahead of schedule and could probably do it now. And yet no one seems to be the least bit concerned. It's an upside down world right now.

Having learned the hard way in the past that UNG is a tough way to play natural gas, I bought $SWN this time, which has worked out much better. For those who don't trade futures, you have to be careful with instruments like $UNG and $UGAZ.

I feel sure blockchain is a revolution in the making, but as things are now, it's hard to see Bitcoin as anything but a bubble. It has all the characteristics of one--even if it is a new "asset class"-- and the FOMO is leading many retail investors to pile in when it's up over 900%.

Hard to believe there's virtually no market reaction to the realization that North Korea can practically strike any city in the US. Not only did gold hardly budge, but it also looks ready to take another leg down.

AAP also looks like a good play on auto parts. I almost bought it at $85 and could kick myself for not taking that trade.

For GDX it looks like the weekly trendline is on the verge of breaking. If it closes under $22.44 or so, the drop could be pretty significant.

I'm a terrible market timer, and I would never be able to decipher the future using cycles, Elliot waves, etc. I learned how to use SPY puts as portfolio insurance, which has definitely made it easier for me to maintain my long term trades and investments without losing sleep.

Up around 1,000% in just one year. If this is isn't a bubble, then I don't know what is. It's amazing that searches for "buy Bitcoin with credit card" have spiked on Google lately. I don't see how this ends very well.

Wow, that 161.8 level got pierced quickly today. I sold most of my positions into today's strength. Hopefully a pullback will not be too far away now.
