TCW acquired Transform ETFs from Engine No. 1 in October, 2023 and I was delighted to join TCW as part of that transaction. Engine No. 1 is a performance-driven investment group out of San Francisco. I was CEO from 2020-2023. Founded by Chris James, Engine No. 1 is known for delivering investment solutions around the reindustrialization of N America, The Exxon proxy campaign and Transform ETFs. Before Engine No. 1, I ran Grancio Capital. Before that, I was a founder and Executive at iShares and BlackRock for 19 years. I built new businesses and led global businesses. I relentlessly drove the revolution in quality long-term savings vehicles through funds, ETFs, new technologies, and multi-strategy portfolios – with great benefit to investors. I serve on the MannKind and ethic board. I am an advocate for type one diabetes research and treatments and expect biology and technology advancements to aggressively improve therapies and cure sub-sets of the disease in the near future.
