I'm curious to know what the death rate was here. People keep saying the virus is deadly, and I know 1/2 million have already died, but we've never had a situation like this where a city simply let it run rampant and infect everyone. Such an interesting case study.
Yes, sorry - I meant Italy. Not sure why I had China on the brain. But I read news articles that said between 1 million and 2.2 million Americans will die if we don't lockdown the population. Isn't that too much of a cost?
I read an article recently that there are two strains, one is deadlier, but the other is more contagious. It could be the weaker strain is dominant here. But that could also mean we could end up with higher contagion numbers eventually. People who are sick, may recover but still wont' be able to work for a while.
