Given the prices that movie theaters have been charging for quite a while, they do not get any sympathy from me. Yes it sounds brutal, sorry about that.
The Canadian Cannabis stocks are not doing so very well either. so it is possibly just a time to be patient. Not everything can be perfect all of the time.
Very Interesting and educational indeed, thanks for doing the research. I did not see it as so political, but certainly no fawning.
Possibly the president has learned something about who may be infected, but with more care and spending on his treatment than any other royalty, of course with the best treatment the good results happen. (and consider that a few claim it was all a fake.) But I have heard not one word about the first lady and her recovery. Has anyone heard??
Certainly some pharma groups will prosper and one might become a superhero, or not. But that is all in the unknown future. Good guesses are OK but they are still just guesses. The consensus is that eventually there will be a recovery, but not fully or quickly.
And then there is the issue of climate change, and what must be done to appease the sun, which has boosted it's heat output but not told anybody?? Conditions are indeed ripe for some kind of change, but I really do not wish to be poor, live in a cave, and eat rocks. So the next few months will be incredibly "Interesting", although I hope not.
First of all, I do not advocate political violence, BUT I DO caution that at some level of provocation it is more likely. A thousand years of history show that there is a trigger effect, and that level is not especially clear. So I advise against adding to human misery. As for election results, it seems much more likely that it is conditions prior to an election that drive the results rather than the results driving the direction.
I see the apparent drop in deaths from the virus as more the result of more of those weaker individuals already dying, and so there being fewer left. The really bad news is that if the cure were found today it would be over a year before enough folks could be treated to slow it down. Production and applications take a lot of time with the whole world. So the recovery, in whatever form it eventually takes, will not be rapid for most of us. Our president has demonstrated now that with a whole lot of wealth and power one does get much better treatment, while the other 99% may not fare quite so very well in the same situation.
Quite an interesting article, especially the conclusion that rising interest is not a problem. So why has our US federal banking gang brought the rate to almost zero? That low interest must certainly be serving somebodies purpose, RIGHT? Thwarting a propensity to save is quite a motivation towards either spending or investing instead. And certainly the gang in the federal bank want folks to invest, and also to spend.
It is clear that those folks without any reserve finances are easier to control simply because they have no choices besides "follow instructions or go hungry," which the majority will decide to obey. Some will call this an alarmist illusion, but I would point out that, if it looks like a gog, and barks like a dog, and bites like a dog, then it probably IS a dog. Not as friendly as a duck.
Given that in the best of times the market is seldom predictable and given that these are far from the best of times an accurate prediction is not likely. Thus the good advice is to not gamble more than you can afford to lose.
Thanks for the better explanation of just what the SPAC actually is. It seems to be a crowdfunding operation in disguise, a bit like a sow with a whole lot of makeup applied. Possibly even good looking, but still a pig. ( Not to be bad-mouthing pigs).
So really the SPAC is a collection of individuals who say that they have an idea, and that I should therefore invest in that idea, whatever it is.
Am I really willing to invest in something just because of some individual's reputation?
A text presentation would be a far better choice of format because it is far easier to follow and absorb. Video is fine for entertainment and comedy, and even travelogs.
