You seem very biased against #Biden in this piece. Remember the Fracking Boom? During #Obama's two terms, the US went from being the top imported petroleum consumer to being the world's top petroleum producer. Then came #Trump, hellbent to destroy all of Obama's accomplishments. He did nothing to stop OPEC from bankrupting hundreds of US independent oil companies by flooding the world crude market.Trump's inaction against this economic warfare enabled him to take credit for cheap gas prices and OPEC has the US where they want us again - dependant on them.
Joe needs to be more like Obama, and encourage US oil companies to raise production quotas, NOT OPEC. We don't have to destroy the Arctic wildlife refuge or frack Yosemite to do it either. We live on top of an ocean of oil. In the immortal words of Sarah Palin: "DRILL BABY DRILL!". Just not in dumb locations.
While I find the extremism on the right to be far more worrisome, contagious and rapid in spread, I also find some extremism spreading on the left. Like the Squad and their progressive allies often seem to more concerned about other countries over America. And only seem to care about specific minorities while ignoring other minorities, and all Americans as a whole. In fact they seem to have no loyalty to America at all.
I truly believe that as vocal as the GOP is with their Trumpism, the silent majority will either not vote for the more extreme Republican candidates, or won't vote at all. I think the GOP will have a very poor showing this time around.
Yes, with Delta surging, and new variants continuing to pop up, it's no wonder fewer people are going back to work than expected. Especially since the restaurant and travel industries were fueling the recent hiring spree. But now, with Covid infections growing rapidly, those will be the first industries to suffer.
I'm actually very surpised all the emergency stimulus packages have ended. Without unemployment being extended, I expect some very hard times will soon follow.
I don't see why people are blaming Biden for this. Trump also planned to pull all US troops. And there was not a country in the world that offered to help Afghanistan as it was being overrun. For 20 years we propped up their country. And while it's devastating to see it fall to the Taliban, Biden is right when he says that if Afghans aren't willing to fight and die for their country, why should Americans?

My Saddest Post
Yes, this is very sad. But Trump was planning to pull the troops out anyway. So would it really have been any different?
