Excellent article, but I'm confused by one of your closing points. Though the Turing Phones are very impressive, why would Blackberry purchase an Android phone company? You mean to switch over the operating system from Android to it's own proprietary OS? It is my understand that the Turning Phone was a cipher phone built to be integrated with android so that wouldn't make much sense. But why else would Blackberry want to get into the android market?
I don't pretend to be an expert on Blackberry so perhaps I'm missing some crucial piece of info, but your article intrigued be enough to look deeper at Blackberry as a potential buy.
Self driving cars are most definitely just around the corner. However, I would personally have a hard time handing over control to a computer. Intellectually, I know the computer is smarter and faster than my own brain. Yet I wouldn't want to entrust my life and the life of my children to it.
Some companies are experimenting with edible packaging for foods. And they now have toilet paper that no longer comes on a cardboard roll (it's just an empty hole).
I'm a Box user and like them very much, but I agree. These cloud storage companies are now a dime a dozen. All try too differentiation themselves by giving away larger and larger amounts of storage for free. And now that all the giants like Microsoft and Amazon have joined the fray... I don't think Box is a smart investment.
