It is unbelievable to me how #Bitcoin keeps going up and up. Don't people realize all the risks involved? This is not a real currency, could easily be hacked, and governments could deem it illegal at any moment. $BITCOMP

Sadly many people in #bitcoin right now are in it with the gambling mentality which, as the author demonstrates, is the exact wrong mentality for this. $BITCOMP

Enjoyed listening to this @[Cory Fleck](user:35164). You make a great point about #bitcoin being the only #cryptocurrency that is decentralized. However, you got me thinking. You mentioned how that all other currencies have a creator who can dictate the direction of that currency. But bitcoin does not since #SatoshiNakamoto disappeared.

So what WOULD happen if this mysterious creator returned? Couldn't that happen at any time?

I can understand the real estate market getting on the #bitcoin bandwagon and accepting bitcoins, but who is the Miami condo seller nut who will ONLY accept bitcoin? I thought only criminals did that.

I keep thinking I missed my chance to buy #cryptocurrencies, yet #Bitcoin and the rest keep going up and up. Surely this must be a bubble which is getting ready to burst, no?

@[John Bail](user:59545), is that for the entire market? With all the craze around #bitcoin and the thousands of copycat #cryptocurrencies, I would have expected it to be much higher.

I have a lot of doubts about #bitcoin and other #cryptocurrencies, but perhaps my biggest is the fact that any government could limit, or even make illegal, cryptocurrecies, just as China has.

Even if his chart proves true, the longer term #bitcoin players still made out well. Those predicting an absolute collapse of this are mistaken. At this point in time the issue is really how this technology will evolve more than anything else. It has already proven its ability to endure. $BITCOMP

I've often cautioned my friends against investing in #bitcoin. Seems like everyone has been so caught up in its dramatic climb that they ignore all the warning signs of potential danger. Glad to see some level heads are prevailing here.

Great article on some of the "other" cryptocurrencies. Seems like all the news lately has been dominated with #bitcoin and many are likely missing out on some of these alternatives. Highly recommended for anyone looking to be brought up to speed.

At what point was #bitcoin not looking attractive?

Perhaps someone can explain something to me that I don't fully understand. I had always thought #Bitcoin was untraceable as a result of being anonymous. I had assumed this was a necessary byproduct to protect people's identities - one of the reasons it is so attractive to criminals. But it is also what worried me - that there is no protection from hackers or simply losing my digital wallet. No FDIC insurance for example.

But this statement left me wondering - "However, a transaction record is created. For this reason, transactions are considered pseudonymous, not anonymous." If that's the case, why can't it be traceable? That way, people's identities could still be protected, while retaining a measure of protection.
