Why No Democrat will Admit the Truth About COVID-19

Date: Monday, May 11, 2020 7:59 PM EDT

QUESTION: Why are the democrats refusing to address the recent information which confirms that COVID-19 has a death rates of less than 1%? Why do they continue to try to scare people and pass acts to invade our privacy?

LH

REPLY: They have no incentive to tell the truth. There were people who sold everything long before the World Health Organization declared anything about this virus. This has been an intended coup and that is really the bottom line. It was a Democrat who from Illinois, the basket-case of the United States, Bob Rush, who wants to effectively force people to be tested and to assist them in being imprisoned in their homes (see HR 6666). I cannot image how a politicians grew up an American has crossed-over and became a tyrant and thinks this is OK.

They will NOT let this go because in September when the next flu season begins, the Democrats will be running headlines that people are dying because Trump opened the economy. This is all they have to try to overthrow him. We will witness the most corrupt election in American history come 2020. Expect the votes to be rigged. The turmoil they will unleash on the nation and the world may be far more than we can even speculate. They will NEVER accept a Trump victory. It will be their way or no way.

This post is simply ridiculous. Glad TalkMarkets did not publish it as a full article.

Agreed. First of all, no one knows what the mortality rate is. So to arbitrarily claim that it's a exactly 1% is disingenuous. Plus the real threat is not the people who will be killed by COVID-19 no matter what. The danger is that the hospitals will be overwhelmed. Then countless people who should NOT have died, will. It's all about flattening the curve. Had people not taken such great care to social distance, the death toll would be far higher (as if nearly 100k dead in teh US alone isn't enough).

I don't understand why people need to politicize the pandemic. COVID-19 doesn't choose sides, it kills all. Though I'm curious to know what @[DRM](user:130312) thinks.

There are a myriad of reasons why the press and politicians on both sides of the isle choose to distort the truth, or outright lie, like Pelosi, Schiff, Nadler, Schumer and others, as many socialists/communists (SolComs) choose to do.

Some are just foolish idiots who are unable or refuse to to see the truth.

Some are obsessed with the illegitimate power they’ve seized from the American people or which has been gladly handed over to them by ignorant citizens who hope and believe that the government will take care of them, because they are unwilling or incapable of taking care of themselves.

Some were fooled by the “experts” who erroneously predicted the “end of the world”, even though they (one example being Professor Neil Ferguson of the Imperial College London) have made innumerable and insanely wrong predictions of calamity in the past, such as the disputed research that sparked the mass culling of eleven million sheep and cattle during the 2001 outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease and the prediction that up to 150,000 people could die, when in fact there were fewer than 200 deaths.... In 2002, predicted that up to 50,000 people would likely die from exposure to BSE (mad cow disease) in beef, there were in fact, in the U.K. only 177 deaths from BSE. In 2005, predicted that up to 150 million people could be killed from bird flu. In the end, only 282 people died worldwide from the disease between 2003 and 2009. In 2009, a government estimate, based on “experts” advice, said a “reasonable worst-case scenario” was that the swine flu would lead to 65,000 British deaths. In the end, swine flu killed 457 people.

Of course, sensationalism sells and the press needs to sell, so they distort the truth, when they’re not lying.

Fortunately, we are beginning to see more and more doctors, scientists and business icons (Elon Musk for example) speak out against the tyranny and the oppression of American citizens and citizens across the world.

Finally, below is a report I saw today. Why do you think the government is lying about the true numbers? Could it be that they fear the repercussions of their decisions to destroy the best economy in the history of our country, while taking our freedom from us, for no good reason?

“”A Colorado man who died of alcohol poisoning had his death classified as due to the coronavirus, possibly shedding light on a skewed virus death toll in the state, according to a report on Thursday. Sebastian Yellow, 35, was found dead by police on May 4. Montezuma County Coroner George Deavers later determined that his death was due to acute alcohol poisoning. His blood-alcohol content measured in at.55. The legal limit in the state is.08. But before Deavers signed the death certificate, Colorado health officials reportedly categorized Yellow’s death as being due to COVID-19. “They should have to be recording the same way I do. They have to go off the truth and facts and list it as such,” said Deavers, according to Denver's KCNC-TV. Back in April, health officials in Colorado classified three nursing home fatalities as COVID-19 deaths, even though attending physicians ruled they were not related to the coronavirus. While Yellow later tested positive for COVID-19, Deavers said his death had nothing to do with the coronavirus. “It wasn’t COVID, it was alcohol toxicity,” said Deavers, according to the station.”Yes, he did have COVID but that is not what took his life.” The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment released a statement to KCNC-TV on how they classify COVID-19 related deaths. "We classify a death as confirmed when there was a case who had a positive SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) laboratory test and then died. We also classify some deaths as probable," the statement said. "The gist is that there must be strong epidemiological evidence of COVID-19 such as a combination of close contact with a confirmed case and symptoms of COVID-19. We will also count a death as a COVID-19 death when there is no known positive laboratory test but the death certificate lists 'COVID-19' as a cause of death." Dr. Deborah Birx, the response coordinator for the White House coronavirus task force, said in April the federal government was classifying the deaths of patients infected with the coronavirus as COVID-19 deaths, regardless of any underlying health issues that could have contributed to the loss of someone’s life. “There are other countries that if you had a pre-existing condition, and let’s say the virus caused you to go to the ICU [intensive care unit] and then have a heart or kidney problem,” she said during a news briefing at the White House. “Some countries are recording that as a heart issue or a kidney issue and not a COVID-19 death.””

One quick note about the SolComs, I served as a US Army officer on the border of what was East and West Germany, across from the former Soviet Union, I’ve studied Socialism/Communism for years and most importantly, I’ve spent most of the past 6 years living in Russia, with some time in Ukraine as well. I’ve seen firsthand the damage that this failed ideology causes to society. It’s been 30 years since the fall of the Berlin wall and the Soviet Union, and most of the former Soviet states are still reeling from the disaster of Socialism/Communism.

Lot's to digest here DRM. First of all, you are right about politicians and I don't trust them. Though I trust Trump even less since politicians at least try to avoid being caught in a lie. Trump doesn't even care. Some other thoughts on what you wrote...

I haven't followed other public health concerns such as foot and mouth disease. It's possible the threat was greatly exaggerated - it wasn't big news in the US like COVID-19. Though I supposed it's possible that that there were so few deaths specifically because they culled so much livestock. I have friends who say "look, infections are down, we didn't have to close everything down and social distance. But they seem to be too stupid to realize that infections decreased specifically because we eliminated/reduced the opportunity for the infection to spread.

I also saw that report about changing the classification of deaths. I found that odd - we should have a consistent method for classifying what is a COVID-19 related death, and what isn't. Instead it seems to vary county by county, state by state. So I agree that is troubling. But you can't take an example of one 35 year old who was wrongly classified (and since corrected), and say that as a result, a large number of the 80,000+ people who died didn't really die of COVID-19. There are likely many more people who DID die from COVID-19 but weren't reported as dying from other causes. People who were never tested so were not classified as such. We know that in China there was a lot of pressure to list alternative causes of death to hide the true number of deaths. We also now know that some people died of COVID-19 in the US before the first official reported infections.

Also, an argument could be made that COVID-19 complicated this person's situation and perhaps he wouldn't have died of alcohol poisoning had he not been infected. Or perhaps he would have ultimately died of COVID-19, had he never had alcohol.

Lastly, it's not just deaths that we have to worry about. Numerous people are having strokes/paralysis or blood clotting which require amputation. These people live, but their quality of live is severally and permanently negatively impacted.

If you just skim the news you will see more and more reports about 1. Significant over-reporting of C-19 deaths, 2. A significant increase of deaths due to shutting the economies of the world and forced lockdowns. 3. All the models were wrong. Her are a few reports to review, but there are lots more.

Colorado amends coronavirus death count - says fewer have died of COVID-19 than previously reported: www.foxnews.com/.../...rs-coronavir...-death-count

Unicef warns lockdown could kill more than Covid-19 as model predicts 1.2 million child deaths: www.telegraph.co.uk/.../unicef-warns-lockdown-could-kill-covid-19-model-predicts-12/

Imperial College model Britain used to justify lockdown a 'buggy mess', 'total unreliable', experts claim: www.foxnews.com/.../imperial-college-britain-coronavirus-lockdown-buggy-mess-unreliable

I believe deaths are both being under-reported and over-reported, in different regions, in different ways and to differing degrees. It's too early to know which side is skewing the results more. I suspect it will be years before we know the true impact of #COVID-19.

What am I missing? To date, their may be ~300K deaths from C-19. All the world, except Sweden and Belarus, as far as I know, have shut down their economies and locked down their citizens. Even if you double the number, that's only ~600K deaths. I'm no mathematician, but I think that equals about 8/1,000ths of 1 percent of the world population of 7.7 billion. According to "OurWorldInData", more people die every year from suicide and AIDS, not to mention, 13 other major causes of death, totaling about 56 million deaths every year, year after year! I'm seeing more and more reports that show more people will die because of the ever worsening economy and lockdowns. Again, what am I missing? Am I insane?

@[Joseph Cox](user:127658), @[Gary Anderson](user:4798), you've done a lot of research on this topic. What's your take?

Joseph Cox 4 years ago Contributor's comment

I haven't been following this entire thread, but convenience surveys in New York and LA have indicated a death rate at or below 1%. 20% of NY had antibodies and 4% of LA - you can look at deaths to draw a connection. Even 1% is a lot of people though and the morbidity is pretty serious as well. This would be 3 million American citizens. All that said, I am in favor of targeted opening. So far children don't seem to get infected easily or spread the disease easily, so we should open schools. We should have special protocols to protect old age homes - they get hit particularly hard.

Wall Street Wiz 4 years ago Member's comment

But what about this mysterious ailment affecting children?

www.yahoo.com/.../...ool-reopenings-015001722.html

Joseph Cox 4 years ago Contributor's comment

Some children are affected. But the numbers are very low as a %. 3 children in NY state might be a huge increase in Kawasaki, but it is not a substantial number from a public health perspective. We will not achieve perfection here. But millions and millions of children not having enough to eat because of an economic collapse will be more damaging than very small numbers of children getting things like Kawasaki or the blood clotting issues we've seen.

It would be wonderful not to make such determinations, but we are in a lose lose situation and you want to make the less bad choice.

As an aside, I'm sending my 6 children back to school this week and I am comfortable doing so. I do not live in the US though...

The WSJ did a great writeup on how these symptoms are actually pointing not to a respiratory virus, but a blood virus that thickens blood. This could change our entire approach to treatment.

Elon Musk? Really? Don't get me wrong, while I think Musk is a visionary, he's far from an infectious disease specialist. All he cares about is the bottom line.

I've actually been very turned off that he would flaunt the law and safety of his workers by ignoring the order to remain closed. Clearly he's not fighting for their right to work and earn a wage since he threatened to fire them all, and move the plant to Texas instead if he didn't get his way. He cares nothing about his own workers' livelihood, nor their safety and is willing to risk their lives for profit. Disgraceful.
