The root of all modern religions comes from the old thinkers from India. If one wanted to name one religion from which all other religions were built it is Hinduism. And the heart of the Hindu religion is the Upanishads (the roots of all modern religion).
This is why many people journey to India when they want to search for enlightenment. In the olden days, that was probably the only way one could become enlightened, but today things are different. The fundamentals that make up any religion is easily accessible. And it is the ease in which you can access all the material from the different religions that enables you to find that all religions are essentially the trying to do the same thing.
Find and define God Almighty, while subsequently defining one's role under such a regime.

It was the Hindus who solved this problem. Unity is God and God's creation.
It's like a Painting is the artist's intent and the painting itself. If you do not know the artist's intent, you cannot know the painting.
The same holds true for a writer. If you do not know the writer's intent, you cannot know the writing.

And right now the only reason that i am writing is to enlighten--not just myself, but others, too.
The thing is i have pretty much thrown the big heavy stuff out there already and i am running out of new and useful things to say. You do have to realize this entire blog thing that i do is pretty one-sided. I say something. Nothing. I say samething else. Nothing. Etc. Etc. Etc.
I must admit that i do get the random comment that helps keep me going for a while, but the motor is running out of gas. I am about written out.

My latest idea is to put a small "book list" together that might help one speed up the enlightened process, but enlightenment doesn't come from books, but from the mind. And there are only three things that you need to know to be enlightened.
1. There is a Creator
2. The Creator is Good
3. You are part of the Creator in Its Creation.
And that is Unity.
Isn't Judaism older? I believe Hinduism dates back 3,000 years and Judaism nearly 4,000.
