The Ten Commandments

Date: Thursday, June 20, 2024 4:20 AM EDT

This a quick ditty because i am not going to get up in arms about it, but tell me something--please.

-----

Since the great state of Louisianna has decided to put the Ten Commandments in every "public classroom" in the state, does this mean that they are moving away from "el trumpo"?

  1. Thou shall have no other "gods" before me.  (for el trump that is true)
  2. Though shall not make unto thee any graven image.  (for el trumpo this will change)
  3. Thou should not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.  (holding Bibles upside down counts, too)
  4. Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.  (of course, golf is holy)
  5. Honor thy father and thy mother.  (el trumpo loved his father a lot, really)
  6. Thou shall not kill.  (unless it is a general who speaks poorly of el trumpo)
  7. Thou shall not commit adultery.  (of course, this has nothing to do with el trumpo)
  8. Though shall not steal.  (does el trumpo University count to just name one).
  9. Though should not bear false witness against thy neighbor.  (false witness, what the fuck is that.  el trumpo would never make a false statement whether is about a neighbor or anyone else).
  10. Thou shall not covet.  (but its okay to grab someone's private parts because people like that).

BTW, the reason that we have Christianity is because the Ten Commandments just did not cut it.

Most Christians learned that "Love" was the key to Everything, and that the titanium rule and the golden rule are even better rules to follow than the Ten Commandments.

------

What is the Golden Rule (Ethic of Reciprocity)?  it's the rule that talks about not doing to others what you don't want them to do to you.  Or doing for others what you would want others to do for you?  You can kind of look at it both ways.

What is the Titanium Rule, which even supercedes the Golden Rule (Ethic of Reciprocity)?  The Titanium Rule (or rules) follow:

  1.   Right Action is better than No Action;
  2.   No Action is better than Wrong Action.

-----

The thing is this.  Before you can understand the Ten Commandments you must understand the Golden and Titanium Rules, otherwise you are just spinning your wheels.
