Straight from the New York Times--Blinken meets with Jinping.
But then in there first sentence here is how the NYTimes started their article: "The direct meeting with China’s leader is a sign of continued effort to ease tensions, but officials expect little progress on core issues like Taiwan, trade and Chinese support of Russia."

Now why in the hell would an official expect little progress on core issues like Taiwan, trade and Chinese support of Russia? That is a better question to ask. Because all of the above core issues are solvable!
- Taiwan is not an issue. Taiwan can remain independent (e.g. Great Britain) and aligned with China at the same time;
- Trade issues are just things that you always have to keep working on--today, tomorrow, etc.
- China's support of Russia. Well, let me tell you something. Anything China gains by supporting Russia, pales in comparison to what they would gain if they would support the United States and the United States supported China.
It's a no-brainer for Jinping.

So, let's hope that Blinken was able to convince Jinping that it is time for all nations to come together for the benefit of all nations with something called "world peace". That is the purpose of Blinken's visit to Beijing--world peace.
Nothing else matters.
