Yesterday, the third of a three-email marketing exercise went out to approximately 40 Indiana University O'Neill School professors and approximately 40 University of Pennsylvania Wharton professors. Each received the "riddle", and the two "mysteriously increasing pie" blogs. With the last email i said that it would be my last email and i would quit bothering them--unless i heard something back from them.
It's early, but i would like to mention that one strand of spaghetti stuck. I did receive one response back saying they would look into "globanomics" over the holiday after the semester was over.
Now this could be a "lone wolf" or it could be an "assignment". If it is a lone wolf, then i had better get to work finding more marketing outlets. If it is an assignment then i am making real progress in my marketing effort.
I am not sure whether it matters either way because i do believe that "world peace" is at hand and could be implemented or stated any day now. All it would take is for Biden, Jinping, Putin, and Zelensky to agree on a peace deal where "all land disputes will be decided by a world court" rather than through arms.
Once world peace is mentioned that really opens up the door for globanomics. The question has always been, which would come first: globanomics or world peace? It does not matter. They both will happen near or about the same time over time.
Anyway, just the fact that one piece of spaghetti stuck, is encouraging. You would think that if you wrote 80 professors three "individually wrapped" messages (identifying yourself at the same time as a masters graduate from their school) that you would get more than one response back, but that really does not surprise me all that much. I was happy when i got one response back.
When i was in school i always thought that the professors and the administration of the schools were there more for their own enrichment than that of the students.
Now with that said, i am going to spend this morning throwing a little more spaghetti around.
Make sure to follow up with that responder after the holidays. Despite people's best intentions, they tend to forget. Especially this time of year.
