For those people who may think this article is not in fact a market piece and really does not fit within the context of the purpose of TalkMarkets, let me answer that critique right off. This is a market piece and the purpose of this market piece is to tell everyone not to panic and that everything will turn out just fine. We are all going to survive Donald Trump, regardless if he leaves office one month from now, four years from now, or eight years from now. Donald Trump does not define the United States, he does not define the Presidency, he does not define United States business, nor does he define our principals. Donald Trump was a real estate magnate for goodness sake.
Now with that said, I would like to share my view of what an “enlightened Donald Trump” (note the Donald-like quotes in the previous words) might do some day in the future day when he is filled with reflective insight. In that view, I can see Donald Trump singing along with a video of the old Bee Gee song, called I Started a Joke. Imagine yourself watching in as Donald sings along with the following bold and italicized words from that video
“I started a joke, which started the whole word crying,
But I didn’t see, oh no, that the joke was on me.
Oh no.”
President Obama was not born in the United States.
I am going to build a wall between the United States and Mexico, and Mexico is going to pay for it.
What we need is a Muslim ban.
“I started to cry, which started the whole word laughing
Oh, If I had only seen that the joke was on me.”
Why didn’t people believe me when I said I knew more than the generals?
Why didn’t people believe me when I said I knew more about health care than the professionals?
Why didn’t people believe me when I said I knew more than our own Intelligence community?
“I looked at the sky, running my hand over my eyes,
And I fell out of bed hurting my head from things that I said.”
Global warming is a figment of science’s imagination.
The people want oil and coal, not alternative energies, and I am going to do everything in my power to do what the people want.
I wonder why it is always “raining” on my parade and I am always in "hot" water..

Why are Vladimir Putin, Recep Erdogan, Kim Jong-un, and Bashar al-Assad all laughing?
Why are Enrique Nieto, Justin Trudeau, Xi Jinping, Emmanuel Macron, and Angela Markel all laughing?
Why are Jimmy Carter, George Bush (41 and 43), Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama all laughing?
“I looked at the sky, running my hand over my eyes,

Comey was a showboat. That’s why I fired him. It didn’t have anything to do with the so-called “Russian Thing”.
Exercise only depletes your energy and it is a waste of time. Just look at me. And my waste.
.In my Administration I am going to make sure that Everyone, and I mean Everyone, protects "classified" information.

And as we leave this view of an "enlightened Trump, the United States, its Presidency, its businesses, and its core principals all continued along their merry way regardless of what happened next.
