El Trumpo's mug shot!  You didn't expect me to pass on this one did you?

First of all, it really is a "history making shot"--something the history books will all show.  El Trumpo should feel good about that.  He does think he is handsome.  But here is how the history books will explain this "history making shot".  

Trump was angry and defiant to the end.  You can see both in his eyes in the mugshot.  He and his buddies were coached beforehand and they all seemed to be leaning forward--like saying--"okay, bring it on, baby."

That was El Trumpo though.  As guilty as he was at trying to bring down the country and its Constitution, he could care less.  It was all about him.  El Trumpo actually did believe that he was "above everyone else on the planet"--except maybe for Putin and Jinping, who he considered to be his equal.

What did we learn about the United States during the "El Trumpo era" between 2016 and 2024?

1.  Well, just the simple fact that the Constitution held through El Trumpo's presidency speaks volumes.  The Constitution made it through "one term" of Trumpism, but likely would have folded with a "second term".

2.  We learned that the American public can be as gullible as the German populace was during Hitler's rising.  And that is a pretty scary thing when you think about it.

3. The so-called republican party (which El Trumpo controlled) for the most part put "party" over "country".  Up and down the line--"party over country"--it did not matter what republican you talked to.  It was always the same.  "No, i don't like the man who rapes women, hides "very important national secrets" as if they were his own, who orchestrated a coup against the U.S. Government, and all the other things--but one thing i do know--is El Trumpo is better than the Biden crime syndicate.

4. We learned that television networks will lie in order to maintain the audience that it created through "what aboutisms"--giving their audience what they "want to hear" rather than any "big picture" view of reality.

5.  We learned that "justice is served" and "no person is above the law"--something that we all thought was true, but wondered just the same.

6.  The entire period between 2016 and 2024 put more stress on this country not experienced since the Civil War.  The 1960s were wild and crazy, but at no time during the 1960s did we ever think about overthrowing democracy.  As these eight years transpired, you could almost feel "history in the making" almost every day.  There was a sense of something big was coming.

7.  As crazy as things were trying to deal with El Trumpism in the United States, no one was thinking about "world peace" except the one person who had defeated El Trumpo in the 2020 election, thus saving America, and saving the world--despite his age and despite his approval rating.
