The other day i said i thought Liz Cheney should enter the republican race for the presidency against Trump and DeSantes.

Here is another good candidate:   Joe Scarborough.   He could use his Morning Joe show for his pedestal.  And even if Joe had to leave his MSNBC show temporarily (I don't know the rules on something like this), he would still be heard by a larger cross section of the public.  In all honesty, i think Scarborough (as well as several of the other "old time" republicans that either have their own MSNBC shows or regularly speak on MSNBC) are the best spokespersons against Trumpism--better than almost all the democrats.

If you dislike and fear both Trump and DeSantes then put someone who can argue against them in a candidate position that can speak against them.  Do it, or otherwise, all the republicans will cave to Trumpism.  It's going to be bullshit if the only voices the republicans hear are those that see an America in decline, when in fact, America has been exceeding more than any other country in the world.

You need someone like Cheney or Scarborough who are willing to stand up against the crowd, take the abuse they will necessarily get, and talk about how Great America Is rather than how bad America is.  The last time i heard, i thought just about every candidate gets to have their say during a debate.  I could think of no one better than Liz or Scarborough to remind republicans what America actually stands for.

ps.  Don't forget that since "globalization" started, the United States has been its greatest benefactor--proven by the fact that 50% of all investment funds flow to U.S. companies.  Fifty percent!  

ps1.  I know most of the democrats feel they can beat either Trump or DeSantes, but i don't think the margin is such that they should get over-confident.  All steps and actions should be taken to avoid any chance of the republican downers to gain power again.

ps2.  And so what if Liz or Scarborough would actually be able to win the republican nomination and then the Presidency, itself?  Neither one of them would take America down the tubes.  In fact, i believe both would probably support "globanomics" and i think both would continue to support the foundational principles that has always made America Great--something that neither Trump or DeSantes will commit to saying.

ps3.  Because of his accomplishments both domestically and internationally, I will most likely support Biden in 2024 regardless.  Just the same, i would like to have a choice that i could live with regardless of who would win.  That is not something i cannot guarantee if either Trump or DeSantes would happen to gain Presidential power in January 2025.
