Things Are Looking Up For Disney
Disney needs to keep churning out hits just to stay even keel. It has become such a behemoth that it is hard to get your head around its performance and looking at their movie lineup doesn't work all that well anymore. The buyout is funny, because if it happens it will become an even more ridiculous mix of businesses that are hard to assess. This is why conglomerates end up under-performing and get valued at lower multiples than the parts if separated. If a buyout happens I would sell my investment and say thanks for the gains.
The Payment Breakthrough That Could Revolutionize Small Businesses
There is Clover, Square, and Payment Cloud already. This segment is already very full and any new spins on it gets absorbed into all of these pretty quickly or something similar technology that does the same thing is offered.
Norway's $1 Trillion Wealth Fund Suddenly Considers Dumping $35 Billion Of Oil And Gas Stocks
This is smart for oil rich countries to diversify beyond oil. And yes, I think Saudi Arabia and others realize that their oil fortunes won't last forever. Countries will realize their oil fortunes have a cap to production and will eventually run dry like every other unsustainable natural resource. It's much better to own Exxon that is diversified among many countries than even the Saudi Arabia oil conglomerate, especially since they will not reinvest most of all the funds back into oil.
Enjoy cheap oil while it lasts.
7 Low Price-To-Sales Stocks To Buy For A Strong Portfolio
Thanks for the list. It is valuable to look at all the ratios every once and a while and see what pops up.
The Risk Of Estimating Risk
This cycle is liable to keep assets elevated since rates remain artificially suppressed and the economy remains suppressed too. At least we don't have Japan's level of
mis-pricing which will come to an end when their command economy central bank ends the torture. You'd think they would have realized the failure of zirp QE by now, but you'd also think the US wouldn't be stupid enough to copy them into a hole there is no way to crawl out of without a terrible correction.
I don't see anything being done short term. The market disruption will be from the fiscal not monetary side this year. People are expecting Santa who may never show up and certainly won't reward the downtrodden who could increase demand. Sadly, enriching the already rich does not do much for the economy as does flushing money into the banking sector if they don't increase lending which is why QE and zirp rates have done so little.
I Don’t Feel Inflation. Is It Hurting My Savings?
If you buy healthcare or want to buy or rent a house you should be feeling inflation. Inflation has been ripping across these markets but has not spread because they are eating up all the disposable income for everything else.
Get Ready To Buy The Next Dip
Trans are down because of the rise in oil prices among other things. The rest of the market is fine. I don't believe the people aren't buying holding pattern that bulls especially use to justify the concept a lot more money can go to drive up asset prices. A bigger worry than stock prices is the housing market.
That bubble tends to be a lot weaker and dangerous because it's tied to a lot of debt. Often, more debt that the buyer wants to handle when their home prices collapse.
A Beginner’s Guide To Bitcoin Chaos
It's not the governments that I am referring to but the TBTF banks etc. play on the market. They are the ones who are making their own versions for their own reasons and trying to kill the existing crypto market.
Another Chart Shows A Recession Is Coming
Agreed, however, there is concern on the housing front. Prices have risen to the point it is making people second think taking on the debt to buy it. This is good for them, but bad for the housing market which is supported these days on more and more buying to rent out to people at inflated prices which make it hard or impossible for them to save. It's a vicious circle unique to this zomble economy.
A Beginner’s Guide To Bitcoin Chaos
There are over 100 crypto currencies already and big banks are talking down bitcoin etc as they push their own versions. As they do, they will increase the pressure on getting rid of those who don't play their game and use government to kill off competitors. Sadly, the technology is good, but I don't expect too much to change or improve. The powers that are tied to the current currency market will be the ones that will dominate the crypto market eventually.
