The Buttigieg Pipeline and Other Things

Date: Tuesday, May 23, 2023 5:57 AM EDT

Just read that our government has decided to keep the Colorado River flowing for the time being.  My question is this: Has not our government heard anything at all about the Buttigieg Pipeline?  The entire concept is laid out in my book called Globanomics.

Or has not anyone in the government heard of my book called Globanomics?  That is probably a better question.

McCarthy sure likes to keep us on pins and needles.  Come on, Kevin, get with the program!  Your weekend deadline has come and gone and all we hear is the same-o same-o (i.e.,progress, but the two sides are still far apart).  Well, here is a novel idea.  Cancel the idea of fighting your battle now and use the normal budget process to work out your disagreements.  Don't let the likes of Marjorie Taylor Greene take down our government and our country--especially, not now, when we are at the peak of our strength and influence around the world.

You have already dented the fender of our U.S. car by making Biden cancel his visit to New Guinea and Australia.  Don't total it!

btw.  That reminds me.  I was quite impressed with the G7 goings on this year.  I was especially pleased to see that India's Murmu attended the conference.  India is another counter to China's threatening posture.  India's population is equivalent to China's with about one-third the landmass.  Anything China can do, India could do just as well--with free world support that is.

India is an enigma, but a good enigma.  The world should not forget that Asia is the home of 60 percent of the entire world's population, and India accounts for about 30 percent of Asia's population (or in other words--about 18% of the world's population).

No other country in the world could benefit more by developing a strong, friendly, and cooperative relationship with the United States.

Do you think old El Trumpo will ever learn to keep his big fat mouth shut?  Neither do i.

One thing you can say about fat man--he has balls of steel.  I think they are small balls, however.

It will be interesting to see how E. Jean Caroll's latest appeal turns out.

Oh, and i would like to end today with another Admiral Stavridis comment on Morning Joe yesterday.  The very good Admiral said yesterday that Russia needs to be careful because Xi Jinping looks towards the North and sees the isolated oil and mineral fields of Eastern Russia as sweet pickings.

I think i heard someone else say that recently.  It would not be a bad idea for Putin to think about cutting his losses and to appeal to NATO for support.

tick-tock, June 1 will be on us before you know it.  Let's hope we don't go over the cliff still sitting in the car.
