Learning What It Means to Be Patient

Date: Monday, December 13, 2021 6:20 AM EDT

This is somewhat of an interesting time period for me.  Patience is a virtue that i have always had trouble managing; yet, this week I find myself calmly patient while I wait for World Peace Day (this Friday) to roll around.  For sure, i have gone out on a limb with this one.  Over the past several months i have drug my TalkMarkets followers and my email friends, family, colleagues, and reporters along with globanomics to the point of World Peace Day.

It's hard to tell how people have been reacting to my wonderings because feedback is light, but one thing i do know is this:  it's been about four months since any of my willing or non-willing followers have told me to "fuck off".  And that tells me something.

Sure, i might look silly if World Peace Day fails to happen on Friday, but my silliness will be small in comparison to how i will feel about the silliness of our State Department's ability to support the President of the United States.

You "drugged" your followers and friends???  Thinking that must be a typo.

I believe in drugs, but sometimes my grammar is weak because of that.

What were you trying to say?  By the way, can I make a suggestion?  You seem to have hundreds of very brief blog posts that are brief musings. But unless someone takes the time to click through every one of your posts, they will have no idea what you are talking about.

Have you considered some longer form articles that could stand on their own?  So if someone read nothing by you previously, they would know what you are talking about?  For example, one of your posts were talking about whether or not you will be right about Friday?  But unless you explain, or at least link to what is significant about Friday, I and others won't take the time to search your previous posts to find out.

Jim won't take kindly to your thoughtful encouragement - he doesn't handle constructive feedback well. Trust me, I've tried. He's also not particularly trustworthy. You can easily read all the comments left on his posts from his profile page.  He's lying when he claims that readers have told him to "Fuck Off." On the contrary, it's the other way around - he's said it to quite a few of his followers. I've been the brunt of that more times than not. I suspect he'll react to your kind comment in the same way.  Best to go elsewhere.
