In Case You Missed It

Date: Friday, October 7, 2022 10:35 AM EDT

One of my followers responded to my earlier post regarding Putin's "off ramp" as i explained it in that post,  He said my idea was interesting, but he felt that Putin isn't quite sane and he seems more concerned about not admitting defeat, and any withdrawal will be viewed as a defeat.  I was a bit surprised by the negativism of this follower because he usually seems a bit more open-minded (or more positive).

Anyway, here is my response back to this respected follower.

-----

Whether Putin is sane or not is yet to be determined.  I am still giving him the benefit of the doubt.  Until he goes ballistic we should do everything we can to come to a peace agreement.  And giving him an "economic" out is the way to go--Russia should in fact join NATO.  Russia needs to worry more about China than it does the West.

Once the free world pulls Russia into the fold, China will have few options either and it will have to join the fold, too.  And that means globanomics can be implemented.  The free world cannot afford to concede any part of Ukraine and it won't.  Something has to give--but it is better to be partners than enemies.

I could be wrong, but if one believes the news, Putin may be dying, and if so, he may not be thinking clearly. He may also be concerned with his legacy as he faces his own mortality.  Personally, I hope Ukraine kicks his @ss, and that the Russian people give him the boot.

Ukraine (the West) will kick Putin's ass out of Ukraine--that is a given.  If the Russian people give Putin the boot that would be fine--as long as they replace him with a pro-Western type of person.   Until then, however, we have to deal with Putin (dying or not), and the best bet there is to convince him how much better everyone will be off if he joins the West.  We don't need to be enemies, and Putin can claim to be the President of Russia who finally gained the West's respect (wink, wink).
