Globanomics 403: Lecture 1--Love, Freedom, and Understanding

Date: Saturday, October 8, 2022 5:00 AM EDT

Well, you did it.  Your are one of about fifteen people who can now say that they have a "junior undergraduate degree" in globanomics.

And do you know what?  There could never be a better time to be graduating because globanomics is about to be exposed for what it truly is--a real, viable future filled with love for the planet and love for the people and other things that make Earth special.

Before we begin class today, however, i would like you to remember what John F. Kennedy said less than a year after the Cuban Missile crisis.  Kennedy's speech was mentioned in one of the earlier courses.  Kennedy said, “Too many of us think. . .that war is inevitable, that mankind is doomed, that we are gripped by forces we cannot control.”  But Kennedy insisted that “human destiny” remained in human hands.  A durable peace could be constructed “not on sudden revolution in human nature but on a gradual evolution in human institutions. . .World peace, like community peace, does not require that each man love his neighbor.  It requires only that they live together in mutual tolerance, submitting their disputes to a just and peaceful settlement.”

Then President Kennedy became more specific: “We seek to strengthen the United Nations. . .to develop it into a genuine world security system. . .This will require a new effort to achieve world law. . .. Our primary long-range interest. . .is general and complete disarmament. . .to build the transformation of the United Nations into a world federation.

In other words, it is time for globanomics to be introduced to the world.  Let everyone make their own decisions about globanomics.  Globanomics can stand the heat because globanomics is based upon "facts" not bluster.

Based upon some out of class dialogue i had with a pretty sharp fellow yesterday--the "check mate" play for globanomics could be made any time, starting today--it's just a matter of getting through the high-level bureaucracy of it all.  Regardless, i will be disappointed if the book, Globanomics, is not mentioned as a very good "holiday read" this winter in the December time frame.

But that is not up to me, that is up to you--the first class of junior undergraduate school in globanomics.

BTW, there is a good reason, that this is the "last" lecture in your junior undergraduate career.  It is probably the most important lecture of all.  So don't skip over it, just because you are finally done.  The work has only begun.

------

As I wrap up this course work on globanomics, I would like to explain the rationale for highlighting “Love, Freedom, and Understanding” within my book called, Globanomics.

I chose the above subtitle for my book called Globanomics because love and understanding are the two pillars of globanomics that control the gate to everything associated with globanomics must pass through.  Love sits on one side of the gate, understanding on the other side.  Freedom provides the optimal path to take once through the gate guideposts.

Love and understanding are also the two guideposts for the ultimate human achievement—human enlightenment or “pure consciousness”.  This also fits globanomics view of the world by making it the highest human achievement on the National Hierarchy of Needs scale.

Love is not typically associated with government, but this is wrong.  Governments must operate on the principle of love if the government is going to serve the people it governs.  A government, without love for its people and the world, is a sham government—it should not even be in operation. Governments serve the people; it is not the other way around.  Love should be a common word we learn to associate with government, and governments need to learn the word, too.

Why should it be so hard to talk about love when one is trying to solve the world’s problems with the fullest of best intentions, using love as one of the guideposts directing the way.  Love is used in our speech and dialogue every day, but rarely in the dialogue of our governments.  Why is this?  Are our governments ashamed of love?  It almost seems that is so.  Are our governments afraid that love makes them sound soft and weak?  It should not.  Some of the greatest people that have walked this planet Earth have helped define what love really means, and none of those individuals have ever been considered weak.

Love is not only a pareto optimum by itself, but love also leads to other pareto optimums.

Because of the above rationale, globanomics feels that it is time to introduce “love” back into the equation—the world equation.  Because it is only through love that are species will continue to thrive and survive.

Love can be defined in very many ways—just look up the definition of love yourself.  Words are words, and definitions are definitions.  When it comes to the word love, the best definition comes from one’s own heart, not from the words of others.  Every human being on the planet has it within his or her soul to understand love—and that is the love being sought by globanomics.  The love in globanomics is not a mean love, but instead a gentle love, a peaceful love, and a forgiving love.

Without this love, globanomics is nothing but smoke in the air that will filter out to nothing, as it is absorbed by the atmosphere surrounding it.

Understanding is not knowledge; instead understanding is knowledge understood.  Knowledge is knowledge and that is all knowledge is.  Understanding takes things beyond the knowledge level.  Understanding comes about through the discovery of associations of different facts of knowledge that seem dissimilar in nature, but which turn out to be more similar than previously thought.

A short definition of what understanding means outside of the realm of spiritual enlightenment is “science.”  Science is a human discipline that has enabled humankind to advance in a series of what most people would claim as evolutionary improvements for the species.   Knowledge in science is not acknowledged without experimental proof that can be replicated.  You can try to prove anything you want in science, but if your proof cannot be replicated by others, it will not be recognized as valid science or increasing the level of knowledge with which to do future work.  Without such a rule relating to understanding, we might as well listen to the conspiracy theorists in lieu of our scientists.

Such rules in science exist in the form of what is called the scientific method.  So, if one thinks the facts associated with science are wrong, one must prove them wrong.  Until then, science should win out over conjecture, simple contrarianism, voodoo magic, and/or astrological nonsense.

Love and understanding are the only two safe guideposts that directs one through the globanomic jungle that lies ahead.   Love comes from our inner being; understanding comes from our outer being.  Globanomics requires one to pass through guideposts of love and understanding to get to the jungle of the future ahead, but there is only one path that globanomics will guarantee one’s safety after passing through the Gate of Love and Understanding, and that path is: Freedom.

And that explains the rationale behind this entire course on Globanomics.  Without love, understanding, and freedom there is no globanomics.

And i hope you can make something with your "junior undergraduate degree in globanomics".
