Bombs and Trump

Date: Wednesday, November 16, 2022 5:37 AM EST

Well yesterday was somewhat notable, considering the state of things.

First, Russia retaliated with a bunch of bombs to their humiliating exit of Kherson.  Come on, Vladimir.  Give up.

Then second, it was reported a bomb hit somewhere just inside Poland.  Of course, everyone's first assumption was it was a "stray unintentional bomb" of Russia's or worse--"an intentional bomb" raising the stakes of the game.  Well, as it turns out this morning, the bomb was not a Russian bomb.

Now, i don't know about you, but if it wasn't Russian, it must have been Ukraine's, which means it would almost have to be something they shot up in the air to intercept an upcoming bomb.  The way i figure, it must be one or the other.  Or do we need to get James Bond to start looking for SPECTRE again?

Either way, it is a cost of war.  The Russian bombs in and of themselves point in the direction of "war crimes".

Putin better make a decision real quick.  Total humiliation down the road, or a "soft landing" into the West's sphere of influence.  He keeps doing things against the better judgment of the world and that is a "loser's" situation.

Oh well.  We'll just have to wait and see.  I know our very good diplomats are working as hard as they can to make it become reality.

Then, yesterday was significant for another reason (at least some people think so).  Donald J. Trump announced his "candidacy" for a President in 2024.  Now what a joke that is.  Hell, even Trump's "greedy little children" (Ivanka and Jared) are not participating this go around.

I saw the replay of his announcement this morning (i.e., the minute of his speech where he announced), then later i saw another "minute" of his speech when i walked into the den.  And it is almost too ridiculous to even mention.  Trump is running to protect democracy and to clean out all the "garbage" in Washington, DC.

Trump has about as much of a chance to win the "new republican" (make me laugh) party's nomination as i do running a "four minute mile" at seventy-five.  And by the way, i think the best time i ever had for a mile is about "seven minutes flat".  So go figure.

Trump's announcement is sad in a way, it is comical in a way, and it is scary in a way.  We'll have to wait and see how things go over time, but right now, i think the momentum for Trump's fall down the hill is in our favor.

Do you realize all the "film" historians will have on Trump where he was clearly acting stupid and like Hitler.  It's all back there.  When i listened to the one minute piece of Trump's speech last night, i said--oh, my--this is going to really show the historians how f------- close we were to losing our democracy.

We all know Trump was dangerous.  That is why we are celebrating a 50:50 election outcome.  Strange times we live in.

Interesting and exciting times, however.  World peace is on the horizon.
