Bad Dreams and Policeman for the World

Date: Friday, April 14, 2023 5:40 AM EST

What the heck?  I had two bad "work dreams" last night and i have not worked professionally (meaning getting paid for my work) since the year 2000.  In one an underling showed me up in a "model building" exercise and in the other i was denied a job that i "desperately" wanted.   Now tell me what all that is about?

Then after that, i woke up knowing that i needed to write something about the United States' job as "policeman for the world"--something that has been bugging me for the last couple of days (i.e., after receiving a comment from a Trumper regarding my previous Talkmarkets' post).

Personally, i don't want to bore with you with my so-called "work dreams", i will try to figure those out on my own.  However, this "policeman" thing is important, especially because the Trumper comments speaks volumes.  Trumpers don't want the U.S. to be the policeman for the world.  It costs too much money and besides Trumpers don't like "policeman"--never did, never will.  (Examples:  AR-15s for everyone, January 6, 2023, the FBI, the Justice Department, New York and Georgia Attorney General, etc.--too much infringement on their liberties, say the Trumpers and the Proud Boys).

Add to that the fact that Trumpers have absolutely no concept of U.S. or world history.  For Trumpers, history is bullshit.  Isolationism is the name of the game for Trumpers.  Let the rest of the world's poor bastards go to hell--after all, they all simply deserve what they sowed.

Look folks, I fully understand that it is not fun being a "policeman", especially when you are trying to act as the policeman for the world--trying to protect the freedoms for those who care.  It costs too much money and in return you get very little respect for your efforts, even from your supposed friends (e.g., France, Ian Bremmer).  It's time to let the neighborhoods police themselves--that is the novel idea coming from the Trumpers.

Think about that for a second.  Let Putin police Europe and let Jinping police Asia.  We have enough to do right here in our own backyard trying to police Canada, Mexico, Central America, and South America.  Who gives a shit about Europe and Asia anyway?  They seem to want to spit on us as much as they want to shake our hand anyway.

Come on folks!  Really?  Isolationism is not good for the United States--never was and never will be.  If you think we have chaos now, just wait until others take over our policeman role--see what all of your newly saved money buys you.

I can see the montage now.  Putin, Jinping, and Trump--all standing together on some Chinese aircraft carrier for a triumphant photoshoot.  Putin smiling over his role as policeman for Europe.  Jinping smiling over his role as policeman for Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.  Trump smiling over his role as policeman of North and South America.  World peace given to us by the three biggest tyrants in the world today.  Go figure.  Globanomics flushed down the toilet.

Well, let me tell you something if you don't know it already.  Under the above scenario, the United States had better spend a lot more on its military defense than it currently is spending because i don't think the "unholy alliance" between Russia and China will remain satisfied with everything but the Americas.

Stick that up your butt if you are a Trumper--you sound like a Chamberlain to my Churchill.

The Gathering Storm continues to gather.

----

ps. I think I have a "mole" in my small group of followers.  After all, why would a Trumper who uses a call sign, Trump in 2024, want to read what i have to say?  I have nothing to offer any Trumper.  Trumpers are alien to the purpose of my blogging.  Of course, i am sure someone could have just happened to "accidentally" come across one of my posts, but that would be like finding a "needle in a haystack".  I am sure that 99% of the people on Talkmarkets have never heard of me, let alone know that i blog.

ps1.  Now back to work on figuring out what my bad dreams from last night were about.

ps2.  On second thought, I think i will spend my time better just "staining the porch" today while trying to blank out my thoughts through some form of working meditation.

The right has a complicated relationship with the police. On the one hand, they claim to be the party of law enforcement. But that seems to be only when they arrest antifa and black lives matters.  As soon as things don't go their way,  they attack and call to defund the FBI and physically assault policemen at the Capital.
