Back Home Again in Indiana

Date: Thursday, September 16, 2021 8:55 AM EST

Well i am back home again in Indiana for a weekend "barn wedding" and so i am already getting into a festive mode.  I drove out from North Carolina to South Bend (my first stop to see a stepson arriving yesterday afternoon.  We made a short trip up Michigan for some supplies that i need for my writing Globanomics (the self-published book), then we enjoyed a couple of bars for an enjoyable evening.

I really had not thought i would be blogging for awhile, but some unexpected "free time" opened up, and i thought "what the hell".

Now here is what i have to say.

Admittedly i have not been engrossed in the news that last couple of days, but here is my sense of things from what i have heard and seen.

First of all, from a personal standpoint, it looks to me like Joe Biden is making all the right steps and is moving in a direction consistent with Globanomics.  Like i have said before, there is only one country, keeping the world from fully endorsing globanomics associated with love, freedom, etc. and that country is China.  Globanomics can be started without China, but it would be best for everyone if China buys in from the start.  And that start includes freeing Hong Kong and denuking North Korea.  Both of those things are doable for China and they do not have to lose any "grace" with those actions.  Without those actions, China will lose grace.

Don't forget that China is really a Paper Tiger.  That is the truth.  Yes, they can screw with the economy in the short term if they want, but they will not control the long term--and that is supposed to be one of China's greatest strengths--thinking in the long term while the U.S. is constantly changing things on a daily basis (and hopefully for the betterment of man and womankind).  So this recent shooting off of missiles by North Korea is China trying to "flex" a rather weak muscle.  After all, there is more than just one way to "denuke" North Korea.

Nuclear war is the total antithesis of globanomics.  Fifty-years from today the entire world should be "denuked".  It will take time, but as of today, i would have to think we should be there within the next fifty-years.  What good are nukes anyway?  If you are not going to use them, why have them.  And that goes with any other future "destroy the enemy or world" weapon a country could develop.  In globanomics, money spent building on future defensive/offensive weapons should no longer be needed.  Those moneys could then be sent for other more positive measures.

Anyway, from what i think i am hearing, Joe is putting the heat on China and i think he could keep his foot on China's neck until they make their final decision as to whether they want to be part of a new world order or they don't want to be part of the new world order.

-----

On a different subject.  The Republicans.  For the life of me i cannot fathom the thought of any short term gain in power (whether that be the House, Senate, or White House) by the Republicans.  The Democrats are the only ones who are offering anything and everything they are offering is essentially on the majority side of the populace.  But only the Democrats can manage to screw up a "straight flush hand", so we will just have to wait and see.

But i sure would like to be going into the next several elections cycles defining the issues in terms of science, real needs, etc., while also understanding the power that the United States has singularly in the world.

And i cannot tell you how happy i am based upon the above that Joe Biden is the President of the United States,  Trumpism must be defeated and the United States needs to get back to some of us are beginning to think were "the good old days".  The Republicans have no argument.  They are offering nothing.  Oh yes, they are going to fix things, but they don't even believe the things that need to get fixing "need fixing".  Never forget that in the leadup to Trumps run in 2020 that the Republican Party did not even endorse a set of principles for which it stood.  They had no stated view on anything--and that sure opens up the door for all kinds of mischief.

I want Trumpism defeated before the election in 2022.  That might seem like a big task, but that should still be the goal.  As long as Trump hangs around, America is at risk.  It is beyond my thinking how Trump has convinced a certain group of Americans that is their savior.  Trump is the furthest thing from a Savior that there is.  How to change people's minds is difficult, but if i was in power, i would put my cards down on the table and i would tell the Fox network that they can start reporting the "real news" or I am going to call their hand against my "royal flush".

You get Fox to understand when you get China to cooperate.  Again, time should not be a big factor.  The cards are clear and we understand the game that is being played and China can see the same thing.  Just looking at things that way, makes what might seem like long term decisions made in a short period of time.  You don't have to get a bureaucracy involved in decisions like those that need to be made for globanomics.

--------

Now one final comment.  Unemployment.  Don't get me started or i might go into a tirade.

No one in America today should be unemployed without a good reason.  Jobs are all over the place and that is the way you want things to be.  The salaries are even better than they were.  So, who the hell are these unemployed, and how does this group differ from similar groups that predated their own generation.

I have heard story after story about how hard it is to find "workers" these days.  And that is the truth.  But i also know that are a bunch of young kids out there that would rather spend their time at home with curtains pulled playing games on their phone than they would like to go to "work".  I hate to be one of these people who say the younger generation has not the respect or work ethic of my generation.  Being a "baby boomer" I have been on the other end of that argument so i hate to point fingers.

Regardless, i sure hope the Government is keeping track of who is unemployed--because i think a lot of those unemployed should be employed for their own good.

Enough said   Now I am going to return to thinking about the "wedding festivities".

While I agree with your sentiments, the reason you can't fathom the GOP is because you aren't one.  Reagan Republicans are a dying breed. Trump has taken over, and brainwashed the party and they will believe whatever he tells them. No matter how ridiculous.

It is really sad.  Although you are right on the point that i have never been a GOP type person, but i do look back on Reagan as someone i at least respect.  His affect on the world stage has come and gone.  I have always said the best thing for Real Republicans (real conservatives) to do is to go ahead and break off and form a new party called The Lincoln Party.  Trump has so desicrated the term Republican these days.  And that desicration will hang on to the Republican Party, like the Nazi Party in Germany.

Sure you will lose most elections in the next five or six years, but after that we might at least get somewhat back to where we were before.  The elections are going to be lost regardless of what the Real Republicans do, but if the Real Republicans (real conservatives) vote a "third" time (i.e., 2016, 2020, 2024?) for Trump then i say fuck them real conservatives because they are just as bad as those stupid-ass Republicans.
