I am fifteen-days into my last "72-day patrol", and i thought it might be a good time to give everyone an update on the status of things here in my top secret location (somewhere out in the North Atlantic). Now, i know, that if i was on a real patrol, any such contact with an outside source was not allowed, but we will overlook that fact for the time being.
Let me tell you, fifteen days in and i am already feeling a bit of the blues. Days go by slowly. I am at least exercising some but find it more as something that i know that i should do, than something i wanted to do. Although i remember always liking those things a lot before (e.g. hiking).
Actually, when the patrol first started i was quite optimistic, but reality sinks in, and you realize tht at there are still a lot more days to go before the end of the patrol (57 days) than since we started on patrol (15 days), and that causes your optimism to wain.
And i think that is about where i am at "at the moment". For whatever that is worth.
What patrol are you talking about?
