In early '07 speeches and as editor of the Contrarian Consensus, she was one of the first voices to warn of a coming crash of 1929 proportions and forecast gold's rise over $1,000. She also predicted the 1999 tech crash and the 2022 market downturn. She's a contributing author to numerous sites, and was invited as a next-gen leader to a number of think tanks, including The Aspen Institute, TED, The National Committee on American Foreign Policy, Renaissance Weekend, Summit Series, Task Force on National & Homeland Security & Secure the Grid Coalition.
Since 1999, she has invested time and resources to help dozens of entrepreneurs in technology development, R&D, M&A, partnerships & private equity. In 1999 and 2000, Jen was a managing director at an NYC VC firm and was an active advisory board member for many years of an oncology company that won the prestigious Frost & Sullivan award for best pancreatic cancer diagnosis and treatment.
At 16 Jen won a gold and bronze medal in the Alberta freestyle skiing championships qualifying her for the Canadian Nationals and breaking her into the fashion business as a model for local skiwear brands. At 17, while attending 1st-year college in Switzerland, she competed on the European Pro Freestyle Skiing Circuit and was chosen for the cover of several French ski magazines. Within a few weeks of her 18 birthday, she won the Italian Freestyle Championships, placed 2nd in the Swiss Championships, and earned the coveted role of stunt skier working closely with Sean Connery near St. Moritz. As a spokesmodel for a U.S. ski clothing co. Powder Horn, her ski designs and posters were distributed to ski areas everywhere.
