As a retired businessman with a passion for drawing, who has lived on four continents, I long ago started to appreciate the natural beauty that surrounds us - the enormous variety of colours, flora, fauna and topography and the impact that has had on cultures and peoples. Most of us view that beauty without really seeing it and for thousands of years artists have tried to capture it and thus, teach us the art of seeing. My email address is jbhanshaw@gmail. com

Triple-Bottom Bounce In Store For US Dollar?
I do not follow technicals as such but I do need to know currency trends as I am invested around the world from my home base, Switzerland, where we have perhaps the world's strongest currency. If the USD strengthens then it is at least partly due to the economy being strong. A currency sometimes also strengthens when an economy has strong political leadership but, unfortunately, this cannot be said of the US now nor for many recent years. James
Blue Chip Stocks In Focus: ONEOK, Inc.
Good article, thank you. I am a long term holder of $OKE and will stay that way. I especially like the fact OKE acquired its MLP because, as a non-US taxpayer, I do not invest in partnerships because they bring tax complications for persons like myself. This point tends to be not known or forgotten when people based the US write articles. It is an important point and there are many of us. James
MasTec In The Connected Age
Hello Michelle, thank you for reading and commenting. I the tried to send a message earlier but have had problems with my computer so do not know if it got sent. I find your profile very interesting. Prior to retirement I had a business strategy consultancy firm specialising in troubled companies. My daughter has followed a different route and is director of sales with a Swiss consultancy company that has some world leading companies as customers. They need someone to take over some of her growing work load. Lot's of international travel involved. Let me know if that is something that might interest you. I hope to write another article soon but my art takes up a lot of time. Bye. James
MasTec In The Connected Age
My article on MTZ was timely. Following the latest earnings on Thursday, May 4, the share price went up 8% on Friday. I am not taking profits as MTZ has a positive upward path ahead of it for a long period of time. James
Irish Property Bubble – 38pc Believe Housing Market Will Crash
Interesting article. I noted the point about certain British supermarkets will sell only British beef. I doubt that will last long as they are notorious for trying to buy from the cheapest source and either British beef producers will collapse under the pressure or the supermarkets will revert to normal. They are already under extreme pressure from German discounters Aldi and Lidl and Netto of Denmark all from EU countries which brings up the point that Ireland is in the EU and so is Britain for another two years, maybe more. I do not think that kind of discrimination is allowed under EU and its CAP rules.
