The vehicles are COMPUTER DRIVEN self driving cars and trucks. Nobody else uses that word because it brings to mind all the bugs that are such problems. And certainly there are bugs, short ones, tall ones, fat ones, and thin ones. And quite a few that can be fatal just by showing up at the wrong time. Do others see that problem??
Hyperbaric OXYGEN!!! A little bit extra of the stuff that we need to breath. It is produced mostly by plants, including trees, except in areas deforested or burned off recently. Where else does it come from??? The oxygen store???
Evidently the visually handicapped at the Fed did not see when the inflation zipped past 2% on it's way up. Now perhaps it is 4% or maybe 5%, at least for food. Or perhaps they are looking at the prices of less essential things, like greens fees at golf courses.
Certainly making decisions without enough data is rather stressful. So perhaps the time has come to stop and wait until the correct choice becomes a bit more defined. OR, charge blindly ahead with the hope that randomness will somehow deliver favorable results. An interesting set of choices indeed.
Really, I did not see anything about workers being rewarded based on the value of their contributions to the organization, which is certainly what the unions seem to be adamantly opposed to because "It is not fair" to those who contribute far less than the others.
As an outside contractor I have been in manufacturing plants where the union was very powerful, and observed that some workers had mostly free time, reading the paper or watching television between jobs coming down the line. Hearing the bitter complaints when another 5 second task cut into their free time between jobs. And I have had those threats of physical violence when it seemed like I had done something that two union persons would possibly have done for me in a few days.
The unions seem far to close to socialism in treating all "fairly" no matter how little some contribute.
Perhaps Amazon does need to treat workers better, but quite probably the union mentality I have seen would send it to another country.
Profit taking sales will tend to bid down prices, that seems to be inescapable. And all sales require buyers willing and able to pay. That is the brutal reality of trying to get rich quick in stock trading.
The concern with Integrated Circuit manufacturing is the huge investments needed to keep up with the latest popular technology. It works a lot like a mandatory status-symbol race, but with a far higher price to compete. Worse yet, the benefits are not as real, at least in some evaluations.
