Desperation is a powerful motivator, and certainly from many points of view these are desperate times. and many will follow the crowd, even off of a cliff, because they do not think or consider any facts. Aside from that, the stock market overall is intrinsiclly unstable, even in stable times.
One more thing is that there are quite a few giants in the technology sector, and so there is also the association influence effect.
Aside from all of that, some of the tech stocks have looked quite good.
Too bad about the drug tests not being quite right. If that was the hateful double-blind test, while perhaps the old folks got all of the fake medicine. No telling because the whole concept is so very wicked and cruel. But the back-tracking certainly dispels confidence.
Interesting while also quite depressing. And while it appears to all be correct, I would vainly wish that it were all wrong. But wishing does not make things true, no matter what Jim Moore thinks.
The irksome part of it all is that the flaws of promoting inflation were clear to me as a 16 year old high school sophomore back in 1963. Why couldn't thoe federal bankers see the truth??? Or has it been "cony capitalism" all this time, doing what helps the friends who already have a lot? And now the smell of it all is becoming overwhealming.
Some times it does not feel at all good to be correct. On occasions like this it would be comforting to have some very informed and wise individual show that I was totally wrong. So I do wonder about why those more in a position to steer things do not steer in a different direction, and why they did not steer in a different direction previously. It can not be that everybody else is blind, can it???
An actual anti-viral drug would certainly be a very useful tool to have, and the question of what that direction was not taken should be asked.
The whole problem is that way too many poor choices have been made by those who believe that they are much smarter than the rest of us. Most unfortunate.
The really BAD news is that if trainloads of a good vaccine arrived tonight, it would still be months before enough folks could be vaccinated. The problem is in the logistics and the processes and of course the record keeping. This is completely beyond all of the testing and verification demanded by the FDA.
The big problem is that it is difficult to rapidly administer even a lifesaving drug without a lot of paper and records. And of course for every individual now there will be needed at least two sterile syringes. That will be the next terrible shortage.
What it all looks like is piling up debt that will need to be paid eventually. And when "eventually " arrives it will no longer be a free party. Of course it is quite likely that the ones to be saddled with this huge debt are not even born yet, and this not likely to benefit from it at all. It is even possible that they will realize this and become upset and unhappy.
So exactly WHO is getting the benefit from the debt being created?I can guess that it is not me. In fact, I am certain that it is not me.
Wealth certainly can buy power, and certainly Google has the wealth to buy as much power as it wants to have. The fact is that size and wealth do provide power. And certainly, just like microsoft did, Google has paved it's way very well. Lower pricing and preferred placement "somehow" are provided, and amazingly enough, always allow it the benefit.
Of course, with Google the other thing is that privacy is gone, long gone, and will probably only return with the collapse of the internet.
