LIz Cheney is awesome. She has real integrity and courage to stand up for our democracy.  That's become very rare in today's GOP!

Ukraine's president and prime minister are both Jewish.  Kind of hard for Putin to claim they are Nazis.

Agreed. The bad actors of the world won't support the sanctions at all.  And even many US allies will find loop holes and work arounds to get arond the sanctions.

India for example just announced that they would still find a way to trade with Russia, even if removed from SWIFT, because they are too dependent on Russian fertilizer.

Omicron is a hell of a lot more conagious than the Spanish Flu as well. And Covid in general is likely a lot deadlier but our advances in medical treatments in past 100+ years have helped keep numbers low.

Is Pfizer The Best Mega Cap?

As long as Covid is here to stay, you can't go wrong with $PFE. Looks like we might need #Pfizer's shots forever.  They are now giving out a 4th shot in Israel!

I read Israel just completely sealed off the country to try to keep the Omicron variant out. I wonder how many other countries will follow suit.  There goes international travel.

9/11—Every American Should Read This

I've never seen this transcript. It brought tears to my eyes, but also made me proud to be an American.  I thought George W. Bush's memorial speech was very good and serves as a stark reminder and warning that these days we now have to be equally vigiliant against domestic terorrists like those who tried to overturn our election on January 6th.  Luckily that was no where near as deadly, but once again hate and extremism has reared it's ughly head and attacked our capital.

Mu - The Newest Worry

The airline was being responsible and taking proper precuations.  Even with two shots, the vaccines only provide 39% efficacy against infections.  However, 95% of those cases won't be serious and most will be asymptomatic.  So you'll live, but you'll still be congtagious and could infect others.

I for one am all for being tested often.  It's too easy to be sick and not know it.  And I would just feel horrible if I infected others as a result, some of whom may be high risk!

Israel Seeks To Invoke US Anti-BDS Laws Against Ben & Jerry's
4 years ago

Agreed. But it's also racist - they are targeting Israel. Name one other country they are boycotting? There are so many country with horrid human rights violations, even the ethnic cleansing of their own people (Turkey, Syria, etc.). Why don't they try to boycott for the Arabs in those countries? Better yet, why don't they invest in these areas to encourage peace, rather than denying them ice cream, of which is readily available from other companies.

Now many people are boycotting Ben & Jerry's as a result. This will turn out to be a very bad business decision for them.
