But then I think of that very frequently repeated statement attached to almost everything relative to stocks: "Past performance is no guaranty of future performance." And I also wonder about causation versus correlation.

The vocal presentation in a video moves right on by, understood or not, it passes and is gone. So useful information, such as this one, are far better in text.

The article was educational but it is still unclear to me as to how bitcoin has any actual value at all. My impression is that the whole bitcoin thing is a lot more like using counterfeit money. Only based on all participants accepting the same myth.
Since MY assets are "allocated" this explanation was very reassuring. AND, of course, the question stands, what is another choice? While a very few stocks offer consistent high growth along with better dividends, most are more variable. So for those of us able to accept a small bit less in exchange for better security, asset allocation seems to be the only option.
