Nikola Sell-Off Accelerates Following Milton's Response To Hindenburg Report
4 years ago

Thanks for presenting an interesting conflict that I had not been aware of. The outcome will definitely be worth watching. And the results will certainly be colorful fireworks. If the accusations are true then the Justice Department can step in and do some serious action, while if they are false, it will be a clear and obvious case of slander, with serious judgements issued, based on obvious evidence.

Given the examples of frauds that have been carried out in the past, I am going with that scenario. And I am not investing in Nikola.

Zoom Or DocuSign: Which Is The Better Work-From-Home Stock?

This is an unusual post in that it asks about making an either-or choice. If I had been really wise I would have bought BOTH before they took off. Zoom because it has huge appeal to almost everybody, being like Skype but without the grief, and DocuSign, because it has a product that business will find very useful, even valuable.

But Zoom would not be for the long term because at some point it will certainly level off, while DocuSign should be able to deliver good dividends for many years.

Macy's: Earnings Beat Warrant A Relook

Certainly you are correct. And it looks like the Macy's group has made some wise changes. Eventually there should be some recovery, and some things will return. We can, and should, learn from the past.

And the past is always more predictable than the future.

Sufficient research can usually locate companies that have a record of doing well, and an investor seeking a long term source of income will consider those types of investments.

It is interesting that such different organizations are all doing well, en CN with less profits is still doing well, even if not AS WELL as before. If my incomme drops to only ten times what it takes to support my lifestyle, from 25 times what it takes, do I even come close to suffering?

The good news is still that quite a few are doing well.

Thanks for letting us know.

Trigger-Happy Markets

Almost EXCITING here. Trigger-Happy indeed, at least some moves. The jumpy reactions to reactions based on reactions would be entertaining if it were not a cash game. It reminds me a bit of watching the prairie dogs all diving into their holes when one of them sees a shadow of a hawk, or thinks it sees a shadow.

And the hit on the software clowns was refreshing, why should possessing some fragment of a skill set allow all sort of privilege, anyway? Especially for those deficient in the areas of integrity and precaution.

Thanks for the article.

Why Optimists Are Wary

Quite some insight here, Thanks.

The pain of having not enough savings and not enough income is certainly made much worse by the maniacs throwing fuel on the fire of inflation. Unfortunately that is what it looks like to me, that the maniacs are throwing on the fuel to support their friends in the stock market, totally ignoring the effects of inflation on hose not participating. It appears that the long term effect of all that debt is also being ignored.

Shades of that attitude that lead to the 2008 problem, "I'll be gone and you'll be gone" before it hits. Or maybe there is just no thinking at all about long term results of actions.

Here’s The Trade On SLV For The Next Leg Up

Interesting post about what is happening with those stocks. Could it be that those investors, having made their profit targets and met their goals, are satisfied?

Some times the wise choice is to : "Take the money and run", unless one is addicted to the thrill of the risk. Leaving money on the table, as it were, is the choice for gambling addicts and the terminally greedy. ( I am not pretending a moral judgement here, just stating facts.) If my goal were to double my money quickly, and I had succeeded at it, that would be a time to collect the winnings and then stop and think. Not a time for an immediate jump to another risk.
