Yes, but the vaccine doesn't offer much protection against Omicron, and far too many people still aren't vaccinated.

I think we are geting so burnt out from Covid and have become complacent. Omicron is significantly more contagious than Alpha and even Delta. Remember how carefully we were back in the early days?

People haven't thought the flu was worse since the earliest days of Covid, before it was even called a pandemic. It's killed over 5 million people, and maimed millions of survivors. It's far worse than the flu.

Honestly, this scares me.  Thanks to the $FB whistlebower, we've already seen the dangers of people being fed an alternative reality on Facebook.  What happens when people actually start LIVING in an alternative reality?

Good thoughts... you definitely highlight the ideal worth striving for, but how exactly do we get there? You don't actually offer a concrete plan.  What are the actual steps to take to achieve this goal?
