I actually owned a Zune (which was great) and a Surface which is by far my favorite tablet (I own Android and iPad as well - Surface is by far the best in my opinion, even with the fewer apps, you get far more bang for your buck) and I even experimented with a Windows Phone, but the lack of apps caused me to return it to Amazon while I still could. MSFT has all the right ingredients to succeed. Yet... they never seem to. I'm wiling to give their product a try, but what matters is what everyone is willing to adopt. And Apple is still the leader.

At a 52 week low, it looks inviting... but I'm not yet convinced they'll be successful.

I think Alibaba will buy Yahoo in a quasi share buyback that gives Alibaba an instant presence in the US & Japan.

The question is, why did management change their minds? If the timing wasn't right, they should have known that in advance. Not knowing reflects poorly on them. Or are there other factors we're not privy to?

I think Apple will consistently be a winner. It may have its dips, but this company innovates and leads and any company would kill to get the customer loyalty that Apple enjoys. I think the author is on the money on this one.

If you invest in these companies and don't watch carefully you could end up with lots of shares and no one to buy them. Or maybe a couple of those companies emerge as industry leaders when legislation is changed to make mj 100% legal across the board (someday?). But they are mini-cap companies who's pps fluctuates greatly every day based on sometimes completely dubious claims to pump them up. Fun to play though? yea sure. Just don't put your retirement in it quite yet.

To end? It's just beginning...
