While I agree for the most part, there are many reasons to not own a home. I'd love to own a home, but alas, I simply can't afford it. I had to make the choice of buying and then live in an empty home like a pauper for years, or I could rent and have the money to own nice things, go on nice vacations and overall have a higher standard of living. Plus I've had numerous problems (flooding, pipes needing to be replaced, etc) and during those moments I was grateful to not have to pay for those repairs myself.
Actually, several people from his campaign have said he never wanted to win but rather influence/impact the policies. I think #Trump is trying to have a narrow loss so he can claim it's rigged and yes, maybe create a popular uprising to force the change he wants from the sidelines. Scary.
As stated by others, GAAP is regularly published for anyone who bothers to research it. Most traders disregard fundamentals entirely. A company like #Tesla$TSLA for example is overpriced no matter what metric is used. Anyone who bothers at all uses GAAP.
