Why Financial Companies Are Beginning To Accept Cryptocurrency

As bitcoin grows in popularity, it is growing in acceptance as well as more and more companies embrace the cyrptocurrency.

In the world today, the only constant is change itself. If you are not ready to change, you'll find time passing you by before you realize it. Many vibrant and successful local companies lost out because they refused to stay on top of the latest technological trends as they were unveiling. Smaller companies that took the initiative and tried to adapt often overtook the successful companies that were afraid of, or not ready, to change.

There was a time when Blackberry phones were the smartest phones available and virtually everybody strived to have one. Today, the war is primarily between Android and iOS. We have become so comfortable and dependent on these two dominant operating systems that we would easily dismiss any new competitor. However, now that Huawei is trying to develop a new operating system due to the trade war between China and USA, it won’t be surprising if, in the near future, it's new operating system realizes widespread adoption. It's even possible that if it's popular enough, it could cause Android or iOs phones to suffer the same fate as Nokia or Blackberry.

The financial world in particular is currently undergoing a radical technological revolution. As more and more of the world turns digital, there is a real chance that very soon, digital currency, could surpass traditional payment methods. Specifically cryptocurrency has a huge chance of becoming the currency of the future. The most popular  is bitcoin (BTC), a relatively new concept that was first launched in 2009 and has easily become a sensation. Those who opted in early have been able to earn multiples of what they initially invested, over a thousand fold. In March 2010, 10,000 BTC was auctioned for 50 USD and nobody was interested in buying. The same 10,000 BTC was worth 33,000,000 USD in December 2018, less than 10 years later.. At its peak in December 2017, 10,000 BTC was worth 197,830,600 USD.

Several companies already accept bitcoin as a valid payment option. All that's needed now is the approval of one or two major countries and Bitcoin's success will be guaranteed. Within a short while, all other countries and companies would come rushing in to follow suit and the price of BTC would skyrocket. But even without the tacit support of world governments, with such a rabid following by investors and every day people, bitcoin is here to stay, and will only continue to grow as e-commerce continues to gain traction.

The number of financial companies that are thinking ahead in regards to bitcoin are rising. An example is Revolut that allows individuals and organizations with a Revolut account to buy bitcoins. You can read more about Revolut to learn how you can create an account, how you can purchase bitcoins, and more.
