The article makes some good points. but the author's stance on Ford EVs is puzzling. Itis not like Ford is headlong into EVs in isolation. VW, Toyota, Tesla, GM are all moving electric. Ford'scompetition has claimed they will be 100% electric within 10 years. Tesla is already. I don't think they are all making a mistake.  $F

Chief Executive Officer #JimFarley wants to wall off #Ford’s electric operations from its internal combustion engine business and has even considered spinning off one or the other, people familiar with the effort said. A spinoff could generate the kind of earnings multiples that have given #Tesla a market value approaching $1 trillion. 
 
But splitting the company, which Ford says it isn’t planning, may prove too difficult, so Farley instead may simply separate the EV business internally as its own unit as part of a broad reorganization that seeks to give Ford an edge in the electric age.  $F $TSLA

I think $F is overvalued compared to three months ago, but undervalued compared to three years from now!

#Tesla's days are numbered. Other EV companies will destroy them... e.g. #Ford with there trucks alone!! Wait till #Honda and #Toyota come out.

I'm thinking they want to liquidate their $RIVN stock to finance the need to completely retool for EVs. #Ford $F can't easily finance that activity from retail profits anymore, since the ICE lineups will not see good profits. They'll see plenty of losses, though.

Ford's longtime bread and butter lineup of ICE F150's is having the rug pulled out from under it....every Lightning Ford sells is just one less ICE F150 that they could have sold.

Don't get me wrong....that's a good thing, IMO. But I think F150 sales are going to take a massive Mike Tyson-sized right hook to the jaw.

I expect that writing off their ICE product lines, in conjunction with the loss of their ICE lineups, will limit their EV capacity expansion and probably will break this company unless they get a massive cash injection from the Feds.

I agree that graphite is the new gold. The demand for graphite will exceed the supply in two years. There are over 225 battery factories under construction globally.

What's your take on $NMG (Nouveau Monde Graphite) though? I heard on StockTwits they may be partnering with a major auto manufacturer like %TSLA, $GM or $F soon.
